Fishergate holiday lettings

This is a lovely house in an incredibly central location, literally a few minutes' walk from the centre of York. It's a quiet neighbourhood and feels safe and secure. The house is modern, comfortable and well furnished. Communication with the owner was excellent and everything went very smoothly. I'd highly recommend this house for a stay in York, and I hope to be back myself in the future.

Excellent. Two adults plus one adult son. One bedroom each. Extremely comfortable, extremely clean, very quiet and great sound insulation. Staircases are quite steep so I wouldn't recommend if you don't want to get a little bit of a workout. Wouldn't recommend for someone with a mobility issue. Kitchen in the basement was cooler than the rest of the house in the hot weather which was fantastic however there aren't any windows in the kitchen which made it feel less connected to the rest of the house or outside but that wasn't really a problem. Only my husband was able to open the window in the sitting room as it was quite difficult and heavy so I can imagine unless you were fairly strong that you wouldn't be able to open a window in the sitting room and that would make it hot but there was a fan so that helped a lot. It was marvelous to have a whole separate space for one or more of us to go and spend time in if the other people wanted to do something different in the living room eg watch different TV shows. The fans were absolutely marvelous in the bedrooms. We had temperatures of around 30 when we were first there. We had a brilliant time walking into York on numerous occasions we also went to the dreamery, we went to the railway museum, we went to yorvic, we went to the castle museum and we went to the beach at bridlington and had a fantastic very chilled time. Thanks so much! We would consider ourselves very lucky to stay here again.

Loved the house. Was set up really nicely and every room was a beauty (especially the suite, which I took!). The location is really great for city access, lying not far from the famous city wall, and there are plenty of pubs all around.When the sauna didn't start straight away, Rasta came around immediately to fix it all, and she was a lovely, helpful host.I would definitely recommend this place for adult trips.

Brilliant for a party of 10-14 people. The location is excellent - within 10 minutes walking into the city centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house, it was cosy, clean and stylish. The owner left several complimentary gifts for us, her kindness bowled is over. The house has everything you need and is a 2 min walk to the city wall. We would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in York. We thank the owner for the use of her beautiful house and her kindness.

Lovely, comfortable and spotless. A perfect little property for a weekend away with friends. Beds were very comfortable, the house was nice and toasty in the freezing temperatures and lots of little extras were supplied - hairdryers, hand soap, milk, biscuits and tea/coffee, all helped to make the stay even better. Very tastefully designed and functional. Would definitely recommend.

Spent a lovely weekend here with friends. The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a great location, within walking distance of the station and just outside the city walls. Would definitely recommend.
