The property was clean. For whatever reason their communication was being blocked despite the fact that I had talked with them already. Check in a little clunky. It would also be nice, if one is paying all this money to have a complementary coffee and a few things around the house as a welcome. Lastly, the checkout process was fairly burdensome with the host requirements to basically clean the house for them. For 1000 a night I would suggest that requirement be very softened substantially. Overall, the Pleasant experience but it could’ve certainly been even more pleasant with a couple minor changes.

Family Reunion

We rented this cabin for a family reunion in June! Great location in proximity to Lead, Deadwood, and surrounding activities. House had all the small wares you would need for a weekend stay. The community pool was in walking distance and kept clean as well.

The beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent for what we were doing. The pool area was awesome. Even thou it rained while we were in the area our granddaughters still were able to swim since it was heated. The kitchen may need a few more mixing bowls that would be microwave friendly. Overall the house was beautifully done. We would definitely stay again. The only complaint we had was there isn’t an address on the house but we figured it out in the end. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

We had a great stay!! The only thing I would like to make a comment about is the shower liner in the bathroom upstairs. Not to be full on rude but it was pretty gross. Needs to be replaced! Otherwise we had a great stay and enjoyed the property!!

Beautiful Rental

We have stayed in this housing development multiple times. It is in a great location for our family ski trips. Access to the Club House is an added perk with a heated pool, we only wished the beautiful fireplace would have been on to warm up next to. We have kids ranging from 1-13, this home has 2 sets of wooden stairs and baby gates are not provided, so bring your own for safety.The only thing that could be improved upon is the amount of stocked garbage bags (5), toilet paper (4) and paper towels (2). We had 12 people and stayed for 5 days, we had to make multiple trips into town to purchase more of these items. These items should absolutely be appropriately stocked for the amount of people and the length of stay, especially if there is a threat of a fine for garbage not being bagged.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very accessible home, close to main road. If you have heavy objects to get into the house, be prepared for lots of stairs (garages & laundry on mail floor, all living accommodations on levels 2/3. Nicely furnished kitchen, although the only spices you'll find are salt/pepper. Bring everything else. Ample bedrooms. Hot tub was not plugged in and management company was not helpful in problem-solving. Was able to get it working by Googling an operations manual. Quiet area out back, yet neighbors are potentially close. Overall happy w the accommodations.

Thanks for your feedback Paul. We're sorry the hot tub breaker was tripped when you arrived, unfortunately we had multiple power outages the day you arrived. We let you know to open up the breaker box next to it and flip it back on, and that turned it back on from the tripped breaker and it's been working great since. Thanks again!

Beautiful home and location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 8 of us stay and we were very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. PROS: plenty of room, big bedrooms, location to many of the things we did, we felt like we were right in the middle either way. Outdoor space on back deck was great at night. Plenty of towels, dishwasher soap, garbage bags, and laundry items. Big refrigerator, fabulous dishes, and plenty of silverware. The hot tub was used only twice but very nice way to end the day. We had an early concern, but Ben was super responsive. The actual company weren’t sure who we were. CONS: hallway bathroom handle doesn’t stay on and we had a 5 year old panic he was locked in. We made big dinners and we needed more pans... one pan was completely burnt over on the inside and not usable. The place was fairly clean, however the door panels were quite dusty and the top of the shower was dirty all around the top. Exhausted fans in bathrooms need some wiping down as well as the BBQ grill outside.UPON ARRIVAL, the home has no number or name, so we weren’t positive we had the right place. I would stay here again, just may need a better cleaning company and address the building so it can be found.

Black Hills Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we loved this rental. The open floor plan fit our family style perfectly. The house was so clean it felt like it was new and we were the first ones in it. We were impressed with everything except the hot tub. It was too small for our group of 7. The water was cloudy, there were no instructions on use or chemicals. There was a floating chlorine puck dispenser that I tried to dial up but I'm pretty sure it should have been shocked and the filters cleaned prior to our arriveal. Pretty sure I have hot tub folliculitis. And the only other complaint we have in this otherwise amazing home, is that our party of 7 did not have enough towels. We were using bathroom towels for showering and pool/hot tub and on the last day when we stripped bedding and put that and towels in the laundry room per checkout instructions, we discovered that the drier was full of white towels that were obviously for the hot tub/pool! This was very frustrating. So I would give this a 4.8/5 stars review with the only dings being the hot tub size and water quality and the fact that housekeeping did not empty the drier and put hot tub/pool towels back for our use.

We spent a few days visiting the Custer area so the drive was about an hour to visit those places but we would stay in the Lead area again due to the peaceful nature of this location. We drove from the house through the Spearfish Canyon area on 14A and there were many beautiful stops along the way. Highly recommend Roughlock Falls (very easy) and Devils Bathtub hike (especially with kids who are steady on their feet). Overall great stay and the communication with the property team was excellent. Highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Everything was beautifully maintained and super clean. We were also lucky enough to take a swim in the heated community pool- another lovely amenity. Check in and out were extremely easy, and the house had everything we needed, plus some additional space. Just pack your own corkscrew! Entirely possible one was there, but we could not locate it. Lovely home, great location!
