About this property
Cosy village gite in Sept-Forges Normandy central for lots of local attractions.
Hi we are Dean and Paula
We have lovingly created a village gite in this quiet Normandy village Sept-forges complete with antique bedroom furniture. It is compact with a well equipped kitchenette that has everything you need including a coffee machine for that morning espresso. A terrace for alfresco dining complete with a gas bbq and seating so you can enjoy a book and relax with a glass of wine. Central for all local attractions from Lassay les châteaux which has stunning rose gardens, Domfront medieval town, from the ramparts you can see for miles and Bagnoles spa town with its lake and fabulous restaurants and bars less than 20 minutes drive. Lots of local brocantes for antique hunting (we can give you a list to set you on your way to find French antique treasures), along with the D-Day beaches and museums only 1 and half hours away (this year is the 80th anniversary with lots happening across Normandy in celebrations and remberance). We have the Mayenne river running through our village and a wonderful microbrewery with superb beers and seating by the river perfect on a summers day. Great cycle routes nearby too for getting out and about in the fresh air.
Upon booking you will be sent a code for the key box and we are next door should there be any problems.

About the host
Hosted by Paula Holland

Hi we are Paula and Dean. We moved here from the UK in 2020. I enjoy all forms of crafting and Dean enjoys tinkering in his garage.
Why they chose this property
Sept-Forges and the surrounding area we have visited for 12 year ever since my parents retired here. It is beautiful and peaceful and the perfect place that makes you relax. The people are so friendly and welcoming.
What makes this property unique
Our property used to once be the village cafe/bar and was the hub of the village. The house was built in 1826 so its not your modern box. We have worked hard to maintain the character and charm converting what was once Grandma's accommodation into a 1 bedroom gite.
