We really liked the location and the spaciousness of the house and property. It was aa family reunion with grandparents, parents, and teen children and 2 dogs. We had a wonderful time.

It's a beautiful piece of property. Sunrises were fantastic. The family really enjoyed the pool. Lots of room for nine of us. Walking around the perimeter of the property was just about one mile! Great location for trips to Fort Ticonderoga, Ausable Chasm, and Shelburne Farms. Grills onsite and restaurants nearby. Could use some TLC, but the hosts said they were working on that!
We has an amazing time, kids got to enjoy the pool, riding bikes around property, they let us set the tents for the kids under the trees. Our little dog had a blast as the outdoor area is kept clean. We enjoyed morning coffee on a deck with beautiful lake view, nights around the fire pit in nicely prepared area. Owners welcomed us and showed around the property which was very welcoming and nice. We would love t get back there next year!

The property is endear need of tender loving care. First visitors of the season, so the property was not properly cleaned before we arrived. The swimming pool was one of the primary reasons for booking this property and the pool was not ready for use. The maintenance man as well as my son worked on the pool but we're not able to get to water in a swimmable state. Really disappointed at the grandkids could not swim and the overall cleanliness of the property.
Pros: The fenced in pool was great & someone came often to keep it clean. Game room & rock wall were big hits. Expect a beautiful view of the lake, sunrises and stargazing, but the deck is in rough shape (lots of splintered wood), so you'll want to have shoes on. Our kids enjoyed climbing on the rocks along the shore and looking for Champy. We also brought a canoe. We enjoyed exploring the expansive grounds and regret that we didn't make use of the firepit. Cons: Cleanliness. Expect a lot of cobwebs. The upstairs bathroom had not been cleaned at all. There was still old coffee in the coffee pot. The family members who stayed in the basement rooms noted the water in the faucets down there was extremely sulfuric. We ended up buying jugs of water for drinking. The loft bedrooms offer NO privacy. The two bedrooms upstairs (both with double beds) have open walls on both sides. You will wake up with the sunrise with sheer bedroom curtains. We resorted to hanging cheap black shower curtains in the windows. The staircase leading to the basement bedrooms lacked a handrail, and 2 people in our family slipped and fell. The WiFi was fine upstairs, but barely reached the basement bedrooms, or basement living room, which is where the TV is located (buffering).Other things for future renters to note: As has also been our experience in rental houses, the outdoor grill grate was dirty, & we bought one (took it home.)A few windows were cracked, and there were broken/no screens in the windows.
