Our team looked into the issue as soon as it was reported and diagnosed it to the best of their ability during your stay. Unfortunately, the part required for the repair was not available locally and needed to be ordered, which delayed the fix beyond your visit. In the meantime, our team worked to minimize the impact by providing ice and directing guests to the second full size refrigerator located on the pool patio, which remained fully functional throughout the stay. We also issued a gift card to help offset the cost of any groceries that were lost. We understand this was not the outcome anyone hoped for, and we truly appreciate your patience while we did our best to work through it. Regarding the mosquitoes and gnats—you're absolutely right that they can be pesky this time of year. Due to the recent heavy rains, we are currently in peak mosquito breeding season here in Florida. While these bugs are native to the area, we do everything within our control to minimize their presence. We proactively treat all of our properties for mosquitoes twice per month, which is the maximum frequency permitted by the EPA. In addition, we have discreet mosquito trap buckets placed throughout each home’s outdoor areas to further help manage the population. That said, we always recommend guests pack or apply bug spray, especially during the warmer, wetter months. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back again for another memorable stay—mosquito-free if we can help it! We also appreciate you outlining each of your concerns, and we want to address them thoughtfully. On the amenities: Our maintenance staff is available throughout every guest stay, and we always encourage guests to reach out the moment something is not working as expected. Many of the items you listed, from the BBQ, TVs, wine fridge, ice maker, refrigerator, stovetop burners, and jacuzzi lights, are things we could have diagnosed and often resolved in real time had we been made aware during your stay. All items have since been reviewed and addressed by our team so they are in top shape moving forward. On the towels: Our homes are stocked with 1.5 times the max occupancy in towels, along with two full washer and dryer sets on site to allow guests to refresh linens as needed throughout the stay. That said, we are happy to bring additional towels out any time a guest requests them, so please never hesitate to reach out. On the bugs: Florida's summer months, especially August, fall right in the heart of our rainy season, which unfortunately creates ideal conditions for mosquitos and no-see-ums. We take multiple preventative measures year round to help reduce their presence on property, but they are native to the area and cannot be fully eliminated.
