This rustic, cozy little cabin sits on Lake Pauline, approximately 2 miles from Okemo Mountain (Jackson Gore), on a dead-end road. You are close to everything but feel like you are away from it all! Lake Pauline is a 'quiet' lake, with fishing, swimming, canoes & kayaks allowed - no motor boats. There are kayaks, a canoe, and life vests at the cabin, with plenty of rental options close by. The cabin has 2 bedrooms on the main floor that contain full sized beds and a loft containing 4 twin beds. There are (2) full baths on the main floor and in the heated, walk-out basement, both w/ walk-in showers. There is wood burning fireplace and streaming tv in the main room and a tv/dvd combo in the loft. The kitchen has full-sized appliances and is stocked with the necessities, the table is expandable to seat 8. Washer/Dryer in the basement & secure wifi internet access. Outside there is a grill, deck, firepit & dock.

My first verbo stay, the process was simple, everything went smoothly, the hosts were responsive and had a relaxed vibe, the cabin was exactly what we were looking for, there were more than ample supplies (everything from towels to toilet paper, life jackets to firewood) We had a great time!

The log cabin has a gorgeous view. The over hang on the porch is awesome so even if it rains you can hang out outside. We had a couple of days of rain but the views are so nice it was fine. So many other good stuff we could say about the cabin!

One slight glitch upon check-in which the hosts rectified immediately. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. The cabin was absolutely lovely, comfortable, and well-appointed. The lake water was pristine and we had a lot of fun fishing. We did not take advantage of the kayaks and other water crafts but they were there for our use if we wanted them. Lots of room for a family with children as well. We will definitely be back! Thank you Shepherds for a wonderful stay!

Cozy cabin in perfect spot close to Okemo. Kitchen very well stocked and we made some delicious meals. Quiet and comfy beds, update bathrooms. Great stay!

Perfect rustic cabin for our ski weekend! It was well stocked with the essentials, extremely comfortable, and spotless, not to mention there is a beautiful view of the lake. The owner was extremely responsive, as well. We'd love to come back!

Wonderful Stay!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The place had everything we needed plus much more. The house was warm, charming, and just a short drive from the ski slopes! We're very pleased with our stay.

Relaxing Getaway

The cabin was comfy, clean and cozy, and was equipped with everything we needed. We loved the sky lights, and enjoyed doing puzzles at the kitchen table. The lake was peaceful and we enjoyed the kayaks very much. It was great all around. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Cabin in Ludlow VT

Had a very relaxing time at this cabin. Everything was as described on listing. Very clean and excellent location. Very comfortable sitting by the fireplace after skiing Okemo all day! Would definitely stay here again! Nice and secluded but yet close to the mountain and stores if needed!

Why they chose this property

We searched long and hard to find what we think is the perfect location for a year-round vacation home in Vermont - on a lake, close to skiing & close to downtown - but yet still felt like you were remote. We think that this little log cabin on Lake Pauline is the perfect location for a get-away!

What makes this property unique

This is a year-round, water-front cabin, in a lake-side community, on a dead-end road. On-site swimming, canoeing, kayaking & fishing; and, just 2 miles to Okemo Mountain/Jackson Gore, 3.5 miles to Okemo Base Lodge.
