If dates you want are blocked please message me anyway. I block out dates for myself as it is my home. But my dates are often flexible. For example you may see an entire month blocked out because I am there for a week. In such situations I may be willing to forgo that week myself to open the month back up.

Nicknamed 'The Smile House' due to its unique front of the house that gives the appearance of a smiling face.

This 1500 square foot historic home is located in the heart of the Marigny Triangle, only 3 blocks from the French Quarter and Bourbon St. And only 1 block from the music filled Frenchman St.

The kitchen has custom made cabinets with marble counter tops and a unique pot sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your culinary needs to keep you busy during your vacation whether you are just looking to make a quick breakfast or if you are serving dinner for eight! Small courtyard in rear of house.

Enter the home into a sitting greeting/living room with a welcome desk, recliner and couch.. Sitting room opens into first main room(can also be used as a living room) and a pull out couch with queen size mattress. 2 recliners, electric fireplace insert, 32' flat screen TV, Ipod dock w CD player. Next you will find the amazing updated eat in kitchen w table seating for 8, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker,etc..

Off kitchen is laundry room, 2nd bedroom and bath. The bath features a just updated walk in shower stall. 2nd bedroom has 2 FULL size beds with linens, large dresser and a TV.

Also off the entry sitting room is the master suite. Suite has a living room and bedroom open to each other. Lliving room with Day bed which has 2 TWIN size mattresses., Ipod dock w CD player.The Master bedroom features a large armoire, QUEEN sized Tempur-Pedic bed w linens, Chaise Lounge, 37' flat screen TV w DVD. Off the master bedroom is master bath including: Whirlpool Bathtub, separate shower w jets for 2.
ON DEMAND water heater. This means you will never run out of hot water no mater how many people are taking showers!

House features 12 foot high ceilings, original wide planked wooden floors, tile floors in kitchen and baths, tons of natural lighting, exposed brick chimneys, and much more.

The home is great for families and groups of all lifestyles. The neighborhood is friendly and accommodating to all, host to many local bars and restaurants for all tastes and styles. The home is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted outside in courtyard.

New Orleans Labor day weekend 2013

The place was great, and a great location! We had a big group (10) but Smile House felt plenty large enough, and it was easy to walk over to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street to explore. Jesse was easy to contact and helpful, too!

Girls Weekend - 40th Celebration!

We had a great time during our stay in NOLA this Sept for a 40th celebration with 10 women! The Smile House is in a great location. Walking distance to everything. Jesse was always available for any questions or concerns we had! It was a comfortable stay and we never felt unsafe at any point. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful home!!! We had 10 family members stay the Superbowl weekend before our cruise. Super, great and wonderful time.........we owe it to the SMILE House! incredible location

We enjoyed our stay at the Smile House. We felt very welcome in this spacious home. The location can't be beat! Walking distance to several incredible restaurants and the French Quarter! Unfortunately we found ourselves in NOLA during a very cold spell and it was difficult to keep the whole house consistently warm. Also, the kitchen is a bit lacking if you want to really cook.

Bachelorette Weekend

We stayed at the smile house for 4 days for a bachelorette party. Jesse is awesome! He is very accommodating and quick to respond to emails. The house is amazing and very spacious. We had 7 ladies and there was plenty of room for everyone. House is very close to the french quarter and we walked everywhere. Cute restaurants nearby too!

Great overall experience.

The place was absolutely perfect. The pictures online don't do it justice. Much better in person. The house is actually very spacious and clean. Great kitchen area for cooking. Nice dining room table to eat, play cards, etc. Tv's in every room. Beds are comfortable. Both showers and bathrooms are very nice. Neighborhood was nice also. The house has a full alarm system too. The owner (Jesse) was very helpful and easy to get a hold of throughout the whole process. We all will definitely be back again.

The smiley house is very spacious and easily accommodates three single people. There is a bar three houses away which did result in some late night noise otherwise, the location was fairly quiet. We had trouble getting a taxi to pick us up as we had an international phone number, (as a result, missed our flight) the people at the bar (iggy's) we're very accommodating and got cliff a local taxi driver to take us. The house is about a 10 walk from the heart of the French quarter, and other than a few cleaning issues, (floors and one of the beds) it was a good place to stay.

Perfect house, perfect location

I stayed at the Smile House with a group of late-20s grad students and we had an amazing time. As other reviewers said, the house exceeds expectations from the photos. It's very clean and modern and manages to be very large (high ceilings, lots of sleeping spaces, large bathroom) and also charming (back patio, cool artwork, stocked kitchen for cooking and a great dining table). The 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer were clutch for our group. The location is also perfect for many types of travelers. We had a large suburban and were able to park right in front of the house for our entire stay for free. But a car is not necessary. We walked to the French Quarter easily and liked being in the quieter more locals-friendly neighborhood of Marigny. We also easily called cabs to other neighborhoods (Bywater, Irish Channel, etc.). Jesse was a great host, very easy to contact, and the informational/tourist books provided in the house were really helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

311 Day at the Smile House

I can't say enough good things about this rental property and its location. We were a group of 5 guys in town for the 311 Day concert. The location is a 10 minute walk to Bourbon Street, Frenchman Street and the river/French Market/Cafe Du Monde area. We felt very safe walking to and from these locations at all hours of the day/night. Iggy's 24 hour bar down the block is a must see. Local dive bar with interesting patrons. We never had to buy alcohol for time spent at the house because this place was so nearby and affordable. I dare you to order a shot at this place. The house slept our group very comfortably. The kitchen and bathrooms are more than adequate. The master bathroom shower has a nice spa feel to it. There are cd/mp3 players and flat screen TV’s in all areas of the house. Not one necessity has been overlooked. Is it March 11th, 2016 yet??? Our group cannot wait to return to New Orleans and to The Smile House. Thank you for everything!!!!!!!!!!!

Cozy house close to the French Quarter

From the get-go, Jesse was very easy to get in touch with and had free and open communication with me. Any question I had was answered immediately. Our place was conveniently located within a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter and so it was a great place to stay at during my sister's bachelorette party of 7 women. Each corner of the house had a note to help us follow structure and rules and easy guidelines. The cleaning service also left us beads for Mardi gras and a Kings' Cake! There was an abundance of clean towels, amenities and extra blankets every. We also enjoyed easy easy to extras as needed (batteries and a lighter for the stove) as well as soap for the washing machine. There was a point where I communicated with Jesse about the heat not working, but he was quick to email, text and call me to discuss how to fix it. I really loved staying at this home and enjoyed the whirpoool with the girls (we had to rest our tired feet in the tub) and we even named the gargoyles out front Envie (Envy) and Bette. The girls loved the home and we would gladly stay in this cute place any time we visit New Orleans. Jesse was a wonderful host and great facilitator of our needs!

Great location near the French Quarter

The property is in a fantastic location near the French Quarter and Frenchman's Street. The pictures online are very accurate. There was plenty of room for 9 of us staying in the house. The owner was very quick to respond to all requests and very easy to deal with. He let us in early on the day of arrival which was very helpful. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting to enjoy the French Quarter and Frenchman's Street.

Perfect!

Our stay in NOLA was perfect and it was largely due to the location of this property. Classic New Orleans home that can accommodate a large group of people comfortably. Jesse was more than accommodating to our needs (allowed us to check in early since our flight arrived a lot earlier than the scheduled check in). The home really is within walking distance to EVERYTHING. Thank you for a wonderful experience Jesse!

RUN, DON'T WALK!!

The Smile House was one of the best vrbo finds I've had so far. We recently stayed for a bachelorette weekend with 9 girls and had the best time. The Smile House made our trip that much better. Please believe the reviews when they say the pictures don't do it justice. Jesse's house has so much character, great artwork, curb appeal and it's in an awesome location! Jesse was great to communicate with and let us check in early. Thank you so much Jesse and we can't wait to stay here again for another occasion!

Perfect Stay

We had an incredible time staying at the Smile House - couldn't have picked a better spot for our bachelor party. The house was also super clean, well stocked with towels & sheets, plus the cleaning person left us with liquor from a tasting she had been to earlier that week. The master bedroom and bathroom were fantastic - we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Jesse was super accommodating and nice (even when I called him at 8am the day before our stay in a panic about forgetting to sign a document.)
