This cabin was beautifully tucked away from busy life. I was able to bring my parents, siblings and all the kids to spend 3 nights together. The house had plenty of space and all the dishes needed to cook for every meal. The host was very communicative and we would definitely recommend a large family stay here.
Perfect for family vacation. Eight adults and five children spent three nights at BearHaus. Very comfortable and spacious. Screened porch is lovely for morning coffee and evening family music. Highly recommend this location for comfort, value for large groups and access to Helen and surrounding areas. We visited Anna Ruby Falls one day and also ate at Nacoochee Tavern and Pizzeria. Nacoochee Antique Mall is a great place to explore on a rainy afternoon. Host was very responsive.
We stayed for six nights - 10 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of space for everyone. The games were awesome (ping pong, foosball, air hockey). The only complaint is that the downstairs was really cold compared to the upstairs so we had to use the heaters in the rooms at night. Overall great place and Aimee was great and very responsive to our questions.
We had our first sibling reunion here. This property was perfect for the whole group. Plenty of room and everything we needed was already there. The beds were amazingly comfortable, which was something we were worried about. Aimee was an incredible host and was quick to reply. Thank you for having us.
We had a great 4 night stay at the Bear Haus for my husband's 40th birthday. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 7 kids and had plenty of room for everyone. The adults had the top floor, the kids had the bottom. :) We enjoyed the hot tub every night and the back porch was our favorite place to hang out. The house was filled with plates, cups, silverware, pans, etc. everything we needed and was very clean, beds were very comfy. The AC was very cold, which was much needed in the June heat! Aimee was very responsive and answered all our questions very quickly, gave us tips and tricks for the area. We would definitely return. Thank you!
This house was great for our group which had 3 families with kids under 5. The screened in porch is huge which was clutch for our rainy weekend. It is very secluded, and even though there are neighbors on both sides, you forget they are even there.
We arrived at dusk and it was a bit hard to see but that all changed when we got inside. Bear Haus is warm, welcoming and so well-equipped. The cabin is very spacious yet every part of it speaks cozy! Nice gas log fireplace with a large basket of “bear throws” close by, comfy furniture and decent beds throughout. And the toys and entertainment!…ping pong, air hockey, games and more, a nice hot tub and a sweet fire pit outdoors. Set off in the woods surrounded by God’s nature provides plenty of peace, quiet and simple sights to behold.
This was a perfect place for our family
Bear Haus was the perfect place for my moms 80th birthday. There was plenty of room for 8 people and the location is very quiet and peaceful. We had a great weekend and nobody wanted to leave. Aimee was a terrific host and very accommodating. I only communicated with her through email but it felt like we were old friends. We would definitely stay at Bear Haus again on our next trip to Helen.
This property is absolutely stunning. The house itself was gorgeous. Everything we needed was there. It rained for a full day but we were able to sit outside on the covered deck and enjoy the weather.....even in the hot tub. There was plenty of room for everyone. We visited because my sister had just lost her husband and he wanted to take her to Helen and the mountains. She woke up every morning to them right outside her sliding glass window. I really loved that my 80 yo mother was able to be with us on the deck, in the living room, kitchen, and even out by the firepit without having to go up and down stairs. It was quiet, serene, and just a hop n skip from Helen and local shops. The homeowner was extremely helpful and quick to respond. It was just beautiful.
This cabin was all decorated for Christmas and perfect with two kitchens for baking and holiday meal prep. The number of bedrooms was perfect for our group. The fireplace made things so cozy since the morning temperatures were in the twenties. The hot tub got used by the brave who made a quick dash back inside. We ate enough meals in Helen while exploring that we never used the grill but it’s nice to have had the option. We would definitely enjoy summertime here as well but we’re able to get in some hikes in on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Great visit, plenty of room for everyone. Loved that there was ample storage space for our food, ect. in the kitchen. The house had everything needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels in the bath, ect.
There was room for everyone to have their own space. Close to Helen, nice drive. We will be coming back!
Our group of 12 had such an incredible stay in the cabin. Kitchens were fully stocked with utensils, bowls, cups, etc., the hot tub was great, & having a screened in deck was so nice. We often huddled up & hung out there, looking out at the mountains, along with the blankets that were provided. (So convenient & useful- thank you!) Our group was concerned about having enough sleeping room & food, but there was ample space for all 12 of us (& more!!), TV’s in almost every bedroom, and a spacious lower floor where there are other bedrooms as well. This was a weekend retreat for us, so we got to take the car into Helen & walk around town, light some smores by the bonfire, & overall, take time for ourselves and some much-needed relaxation. Host was fast & responsive & also attentive. Thank you for a great weekend!
