Interesting location

The house was very modern and new. The room arrangements were good for our group. One bedroom en-suite was on the ground floor which was nice. The house is outside the bustle of Caen but an easy drive to get there. Plus, grocery stores and restaurants were just a few minutes away. Because the area is new there was a lot of road construction with new roads not showing accurately on our GPS. As a result, we had a hard time finding our way in and out of the area during our stay. Once the road repairs are completed, getting to and from the house should be quick and easy. We enjoyed our stay.

New property but not finished

The property was obviously brand new and the look pretty good. Unfortunately there were a few faults. No washing machine or dryer (which had been advertised in the property details), downstairs toilet leaked water all over the floor when flushed. Exhaust fan over the stove did not work. Shutters in upstairs bedroom did not work. When we asked the property owner if he could fix the toilet and provide washing ability he promised to have corrected the next day. We emailed him the next evening and the day after that with no response. This was was most disappointing about the property and we hope that the owner will address these issues for future renters.
