The Bloom Suite is an open concept one bedroom suite attached to the back of The Bloom House. There is a door that connects the two spaces that remains locked at all times. Parking and patio space will be shared by guests of both the house and suite. There is a step up to get from the kitchen area to the bedroom area.

It was smaller than what we expected. There are a couple of eyesores that could be easily fixed. Bathroom towel bar previous mounting location not repaired. Flooring in bathroom is loose from the subfloor. The outside was just run down. Needs to be cleaned up. The inside was clean. The control for the hot water being backwards in the shower, which water never got hot, just warm, could be corrected. Trash can outside does not appear it’s been emptied in a long time. We had a good stay, the location was great! We were within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. Here is the biggest thing though, we were not informed prior to our stay that the entire town was under a boil order due to E. coli in the water supply. We found out the next morning when we went to breakfast. They told us it was day 4 of the boil order so no ice in drinks and no coffee was being made. Of course this was after we drank the water and used the ice the night before. Hopefully neither of us ends up getting sick. We just really think something like this should have been communicated. It would not have kept us from staying but it’s something we should have known about ahead of time.

Good spot for a short stay

Was in town by myself just for a weekend and this place was a good spot for me by myself to base camp out of. It's close enough to town to walk in to explore and away from things enough to be quiet.

Great place

It was a great little space. We would stay again. Only complaints: Needs a new bed. Not comfortable Neighbor's in the main house, you can hear alot if they're talking loud. Firepit outside, depending on wind, made our little apartment smell like smoke as it was going straight towards it If there was a different bed, we'd stay again! If someone is using the firepit, depends

OUR STAY

The room was great, however it would have been nice if there was an extra blanket and some kleenex as well. Also, check out was at 11:00 which was a bit of a struggle because our train wasn't until late in the afternoon, so we had to haul our luggage with us everywhere we went. Luckily one of the antique stores we visited allowed us to keep our luggage behind her desk so we were free to go shopping while we waited for the train. All in all we had a great time! Loved the town!

Weekend Stay

We had a nice weekend stay. The place had what we needed. It was close enough to things downtown that you could walk but far enough that it was a lot easier to just drive and park. There were plenty of towels and the place seemed really clean. The only thing I really wish they had was a lamp! I realize that sounds silly but I dont love turning on big lights at night just to hang out in bed. I also feel like they should reserve atleast two parking spots in the back for this VRBO because the people who stayed in the front kept parking in our spot when they had places in the front to park. Again, a minor detail but that would be nice. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Nice Location

I really loved the location of the property. One thing I wish we knew ahead of time. The shower has a terrible smell when you first run it but the fix is easy. We didn't know the fix until we arrived and reached out to the owner. Bed was not good. Investment in a solid bed to sleep in would make a world of difference. Positive is that the place was very clean and the owner was responsive. So if bed comfort isn't a top priority then this would be a nice little weekend away. Thank you!

Since your stay, we have received feedback about the bed so we have reinforced the frame and added a mattress topper to maximize comfort and stability. In regards to the shower, unfortunately that is caused by the city water system. The smell has persists despite a new water heater and all new tubing. Thanks again for your review and we hope with these changes in mind, you would consider staying with us again in the future!
