This renovated horse barn was converted into a country chic respite and sleeps up to 12 people with six uniquely themed rooms including 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 4 full beds, so there's plenty of space for all your guests. Luxurious linens and cozy bedding in each room. The barn bunkhouse also offers 2 bathrooms, complete with amenities, plus another half-bath on the oversized porch off the back of the barn. A fully-stocked coffee bar with a Keurig and a microwave are tucked in the armoire at the end of the hall. A cozy bar area inside the barn is a great place to play a game of cards or unwind before dinner. You'll feel enchanted by the rustic charm, warmth, and natural beauty of this awesome property. It's the perfect spot for family reunions, girl's weekend getaways, gourmet clubs, family birthday parties, and more.
Whether you're exploring the nearby attractions or simply relaxing in the comfortable living spaces, we think our place will help you experience everything the country roads have to offer. Want to be serenaded by a chorus of frogs under a canopy of trees, explore the night sky, or grill dinner out in the open? We've provided multiple outdoor spaces to unwind with family and friends. A 10-foot granite bar located on the spacious 48' long covered back porch offers sweeping views of the ranch, small pond, and grassy fields where the horses roam. The bar area also doubles as a kitchen with a 3-burner stove, oven, dishwasher, full sink, and small fridge. Cookware and dishes are provided.
While we encourage reconnecting with nature at the D & D Ranch a smart TV is located on the back porch, plus snacks and a popcorn machine for movie night. However, we prefer gathering around the firepit for s'mores and stargazing. Dine al fresco under a lighted canopy, on the back barn porch, or inside the barn on a long farm table. There are plenty of fresh herbs at the ready and ripe for the picking. A small pond and pier are located on the property with fishing poles. Rocking chairs abound as well as a beautiful rose garden with a wooden swing for two.
This is the perfect place to recharge in a unique quiet country setting. The beautiful Sam Houston National Forest is only a mile away where you can hike and bike. Venture to the quaint town of Montgomery for shopping, antiquing, and dining. The Bernhardt Winery which hosts outdoor concerts and wine tastings throughout the year is nearby. There are two convenience stores in Richards less than 2 miles away with basic groceries. Haynie's General Store & Restaurant has great burgers and pizza. City Hall Cafe & Pie Bar is about 10 miles from us and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Book your stay now to enjoy this beautiful country escape.

Loved the property!
Was a touch surprised that the rooms didn’t have ceilings so you could hear every snore, etc of the folks around you.
But it was wonderfully appointed and very quiet.

Sorry to hear the original barn ceiling was a surprise as this is detailed in the room descriptions but we will make sure to be more clear for future guests. Glad to hear you enjoyed the tranquility of nature.
