Great location, quick responds from the host. Some kitchen utilities are not provided, no dishwasher, no paper towers, and bad sound isolation in the unit.
We loved our trip! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Helen was busy this past weekend but it was very peaceful sitting on the balcony. We will definitely stay here again.
Great trip to October Fest. Did not disappoint. Got to see MollieB. Condo was an only a few minutes to all restaurants and beer gardens. Condo was older. Not a great bathroom for older couples. Tub/shower was hard to get in. Needs handrail. Needs a little maintenance. Host and Front desk was accomodating.
Helen is a really small little village, less than a mile, I think, end-to-end ... this condo is near the south end, walking around is so easy. We were there the weekend between Christmas and New Years, but it was pretty crowded, so driving/parking would have been challenging.
The condo was very clean but could use some updating. The shower curtain rod was very rusty; carpet should be replaced with a hardwood floor.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
After we checked in and received the keys, we went into the unit to begin unpacking. To our dismay, the unit had not been cleaned from the previous occupant. The front desk was very apologetic and said they would take care of it, even though the cleaning crew had already left for the day. Giving the front desk, person credit, she actually came over and began the cleaning process herself. We left after that and do not know if she completed it herself or if a cleaning crew member came back to finish the job.The kitchen furnishings were very minimal, but it was functional for our needs. There were several unrepaired holes in the wall, and the bathroom was in poor condition. There were stains on the carpet and rug, and one of the windows had a large crack in it.With a very little investment of money and a larger investment of time, this unit could be improved a great deal. I was very surprised with the glowing reviews I read about it. The location itself was excellent as it was close to several restaurants and walking distance to the center of Helen.
