One lot away from the beach, across the street from the newly completed and exclusive Fives Hotel and one block from Unico Beach Bar/Restaurant, as well as Downtown Dive Lodge Bar/Restaurant and about 1/2 mile from the start of 'restaurant row'. Large Master Suite, Guest suite with attached bath and a third Bedroom. Granite Counters, Custom Cabinetry, stainless steel appliances including washer and dryer as well as BBQ. B-Day get away

The property is very beautiful that accommodates all 5 of us. The pool was a plus especially on the days coming back from the beach. The house is a 2 min walk from the beach and a few minutes bike ride to other eateries. Since we packed light, the washing machine and dryer was a great plus. Overall we had a really nice time at this property.

Just what we needed

The house is very nice and perfectly located. The grounds are pretty and well maintained and we loved the house bikes to get us to town whenever we wanted. It was a group of 6 of us and the house is comfortable and provided us with everything we needed for our stay and we loved the proximity to Unico beach club where we spent our days. This was our second visit to Laguna Azul and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Puerto Morelos is a wonderful little town

Property is located at the end of a dead end street so it is quiet and just across the street from beaches and ocean. The house is clean and perfect for six people. There were 6 cruiser bikes available for use so we rode bikes everywhere. Private back patio and pool - lovely! We would definitely go back to Casa Laguna Azul next time, particularly because of its great location and access to Puerto Morelos, beaches and ocean.

A Slice of Paradise

My family (parents, partner and children ages 10 and 13) had an amazing stay here. The backyard is an oasis that was better than expected. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a day of activities. The beds and rooms were spacious and beautiful. Everything was beyond our expectations. The location is so convenient. We walked and biked everywhere, but also appreciated the parking spot right in front of the property. Puerto Morelos was the perfect place for our family vacation and this place made it feel like home.

The best property in puerto morelos!

We vacationed in PM for two weeks in June 2024. The weather was awful but the property saved us. We brought our 1 year old baby and she really enjoyed the pool and the backyard! The hotel across the street blocked all the wind from the storm and made it very enjoyable to be outside. My elderly father was visiting with us so by the end of our stay he was too tired to walk into the center of town, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes, but it was super easy to get a taxi as they are always by the hotel. 10 out of 10 we will return to this property and recommend it to our friends.

We will be back!

Our stay was perfect. The home and property are beautiful and well maintained. It is really like the photos! The lagoon pool and foliage were gorgeous. The location is excellent - at the quiet end of a cool street full of restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. The beach is just across the street with several beach clubs to choose from. The inside of the house is sophisticated but homey. The linens and bedspreads are a high quality cotton and we slept great. We will be back next year for sure. Tracey is a generous, kind and responsive host.

Thanksgiving getaway

This property was wonderful. Very true to the description and pictures. The location to the beach and everything Puerto Morelos was great! It was a godsend to have the pool to dip in on hot afternoons and the house was well equipped and comfortable. The property was well cared for throughout our stay. It was great to have the bikes and we very much enjoyed biking into town to the grocery store or to eat. Tracey had wonderful suggestions for placing to go and things to do. We especially enjoyed getting out on the water with a friend of hers and even caught a large gaming Wahoo and also got to snorkel the reef!! It was a wonderful day. All in all a really relaxing and wonderful family vacation. If we return, we will definitely stay at Casa Laguna Azul again!

A perfect family getaway

We spent the holiday as a family here. Our family includes five adults and two kids (4&6). The set up of this house is ideal. Prioritizing communal space as well as spacious and well positioned bathrooms. The yard is great for relaxing with the kids. We were visited by small lizards and nighttime Coaties. The yard is fully connected within the fence making it a great space for kids to explore safely. Único beach club is a short walk for good ceviche and drinks. Cabs line up at the Fives resort across the street making for easy transportation arrangements. It’s close enough to town to be convenient but far enough for a relaxing vibe. We hope to come back some day soon.

Amazing garden

We had a great time at this VRBO. The garden and pool are terrific. You can ride the bikes to anywhere in Puerto Morelos from this location. There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again. A few things to note in case it matters to you: -the dishwasher doesn’t work -the ice maker doesn’t work (and if you try to use it the line will leak the spring water all over the floor) -there is only one ice cube tray in the fridge -the knives are dull, so bring your own it you want to do a lot of cooking -the toilet in the second bath doesn’t always/usually flush all the way -IMPORTANT: the handle to the oven door is metal and you will receive an electric shock if you touch it with your bare hands. This was a very strange (but not painful) experience

Beautiful property in a great location

My sister and I had a wonderful time staying at Casa Laguna Azul in Puerto Morelos. The house has easy access to the beach and to Unico Beach Club which has inexpensive chairs/palapas to rent, a great menu and also a reasonably priced massage center (my massage therapist Mariana was great.) The neighborhood is quiet, but is not far from many great restaurants down the street and on the parallel street - Niños Heroes. When we arrived, we had some problems getting in. The property manager wasn’t there, the key wasn’t in one of the lockboxes and the code to the second lockbox was wrong. Also, the wifi and password were wrong so we had to go across the street and ask a hotel staff member to call the host. Hopefully, the info re the lockbox and wifi will be changed soon on VRBO. I recommend specifically asking the host to ask the property manager to be there at a specific time or ask for the current lockbox code, and wifi password beforehand. That being said, we still really enjoyed our stay and loved the location, pool, comfortable beds, patio area, etc. enough to give it a 10/10.

Beautiful property!

We had an excellent stay at Tracey's place. The house itself is fantastic, comfortable beds and a great sitting area out back with the pool. The location is ideal. On a quiet end of the main street, very close to the beach and a close walk to many restaurants. We would highly recommend staying here

Casa Laguna Azul delivers

Casa Laguna Azul is a lovely oasis near downtown Puerto Morelos, and it's also literal steps from a wonderful beach club (Unico). The home itself is true to the photos - open, clean & beachy. The backyard and pool are fantastic - you could spend the whole day back there and never get to the beach. Town is walking or biking distance (there are plenty of bikes!) and there are good restaurants on the way. Tracy is a wonderful host - she was extremely responsive before our trip (we were bringing a toddler and had a lot of questions!) as well as while we were there. We had everything we needed for a truly relaxing stay - highly recommend!

Lovely Home and great location

My family stayed at this property in July 2022 and we loved it. The house is clean and well taken care of. The backyard is beautiful and we really enjoyed the pool. It has everything you need. We also loved riding their bikes into town every day to eat. There are very good restaurants in town and ice cream shops, a bakery, bars and a very well maintained town square. We went dancing at Sirenas and had the best Snapper of our lives at Punta Corcho (twice). We also had amazing breakfasts twice at El Nicho. It is a quiet town and we all felt very safe. There is a beach bar about two blocks towards town between the Padi diving school and Unico Beach club where we spent a lot of time. Great service and atmosphere. The only negative is that the dishwasher was broken and the couches are not very comfortable for heavy guys like my husband but we spent most of our time out or playing games at the table. This is beyond anyones control but the Sargassum was very heavy when we were there. It makes it hard to enjoy the beach and stinks at times. It was bad all the way up to Cancun. We will definitely be back to this house in Puerto Morelos!

Great location, awesome house

We used the transfer device Tracey recommended and had no issues. We immediately hit the beach, which is just across the street. The location is at the far north end of town, away from the bustle of the plaza. We used the bikes to ride in to town, or just walked across the street to The Fives Hotel, where there were alway taxis waiting. A/c worked well, beds were comfortable. Pool was great! We felt completely safe around town, no matter what time of day or night. Great trip!

Beautiful house and location

Beautiful house and very convenient location. Very safe. Cleaning service was superb, as well as maintenance. Communication was a bit off with the manager but did not affect our stay. Very thankful with the maintenance gentlemen who came every morning to clean the pool and take care of the property. Pool is a bit small of what you can see in the pictures but a good floating beds will make a difference. Bring tons of mosquito repellent, they are everywhere! Will definitely be back!

Pictures do the place justice!

The property was exactly as advertised from the pictures. The location at the north end of one of the primary North South road was great. Easy to get cabs from The Fives hotel across the street. Also convenient for food and drinks at the restaurants there. Very close access to the beach. Short 10 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride to all of the restaurants. Would book again.

After traveling and vacationing in the Riviera Maya area for 15 years, I knew that Puerto Morelos was the perfect place to build our family's vacation home in 2014 as I absolutely love our little town of Puerto Morelos. There are so many wonderful places to explore around the area.

Why they chose this property

I personally choose this property after living in Puerto Morelos and getting to know the area. Its in the perfect location; right in town easy walk to all the amenities of town and across a little street from the most beautiful beach and beach clubs.

What makes this property unique

This property was built for a wheelchair user, so there are no stairs. There is an abundance of windows and sliding doors designed to blend the interior and exterior space. The house is equipped with everything you need including: Internet access, cable TV, 2 Smart TVs, one Line, Wireless/Wifi receiver so you can use your phone to play music, beach chairs, 6 bikes for cruising town, laptop sized safe, fully stocked kitchen, gas BBQ...too much to name.
