Nice home looks just like the pictures. Lots of space perfect for two couples. Loved the dark skies. Quiet, no road noise. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
This is our second time staying at the Lodge. Its always clean, well equipped with towels and the basic necessitates. We explored Big Bend and parts of mexico, explored the hot springs and enjoyed breakfast and brunch at Vanga. Great place to visit if you like the outdoors
Location was convenient, everything was clean and tidy, and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The pictures don’t do the inside justice. Nice art and other artifacts throughout the rooms. Thank you for letting us stay, we will be back!
We four Golden Girl gal pals spent a week at the lodge and loved every minute! Every day was packed with exploring, hiking, driving through the park, and a jeep tour. We loved coming home each evening to our comfy digs in the lodge. We gave the kitchen a true workout cooking dinners and tasty brekkies. The views from every window are stunning and you will love staying here!
We had never been to Terlingua or Big Bend before and I’m so glad we got the large cabin. It was just what we needed for our family! It was spacious, had everything we needed and the A/C was ice cold and felt wonderful for how brutally hot it was outside.

Great view and great location, but the dishwasher doesn't clean dishes well (the jets are full of water stone) and the overall cleanliness of the property should be improved.
THE BEST PLACE TO STAY TO VISIT ALL OF WEST TEXAS!!!
This lodge had EVERYTHING to make our stay comfortable from spices, soaps, laundry products to games, books, area attractions (pamphlets). Although we didn’t need it there was also a pack and play and high chair for a baby! It was right off the main road but so very quiet. And the place was immaculately clean! I’ve stayed at several rentals and this place is at the very top of the list. We spent one day out venturing to Alpine and Marfa and another day in Big Bend National Park. Lots of driving but it was so good to come home to a COOL home after a day in the heat!
If you are thinking about staying in Terlingua -- first, DO stay in Terlingua. Second, pay attention to location. There are charming photos of nifty places to stay that do not betray the fact that they are a few hundred yards from the highway, or stacked on top of each other. The Lodge is 8/10ths of a mile down a well-maintained gravel road and it is absolutely silent -- but not desolate. We followed the easy driving directions, the lockbox was simple and flawless, and we found the Lodge to be impeccably clean and very well furnished. The thoughtful owner/managers had thought of everything -- at least everything that WE thought of. We purchased a cooler in El Paso to use during day trips to Big Bend, but of course the Lodge has two coolers for guest use. We should have known. Two adult children, two parents, one great time. At the end of one hiking day that we completed earlier than expected, we were thrilled to go back and enjoy the lodge, instead of merely enduring some other rental spot.DO pay attention to instructions to bring your own drinking water -- plenty of places to get it. There is lots of water for showers, dishwasher, etc. from the well.Easy drive to Big Bend National Park -- and if you get a chance, visit Big Bend State Park. Lovely park, lovely people. We count ourselves lucky to have found and picked the Lodge for our Big Bend Vacation.
