Awful host, avoid at all costs

The host cannot be trusted. We booked for 8 nights, paid for 8 nights, and received confirmation in writing from the host for 8 nights, but in reality they only booked us for 7 nights and we had no place to stay our last night after we were forced to leave the room. The host was completely unresponsive to us, the hotel, and vrbo despite numerous emails and phone calls. The room and hotel staff were wonderful, but the host ruined it by inaccurately booking our room and then being completely absent in communication.
