Had an awesome experience, just as advertised! Perfect location for what we were looking for in a cabin. Owners were very responsive to any questions, would definitely stay there again!!!!!
We loved staying here. There was 8 of us and we had plenty of space to move around and not be cramped up. The house is beautiful and clean. We were very comfortable during our stay. The kids ( teenagers) loved the bottom floor. They had fun playing ping pong and the video game machine. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Great location to a variety of excursions Plenty of room w/ the decks being a hit! 6 adults & 1 child fit well. Home needs new pans and a few repairs (already scheduled). Cleaners need to do a better job Lots of building in the area but never bothered us! Woke to a bear one morning! Definitely a great story for years to come!
inside was clean, the outside table shown in the pic to the left had not been cleaned in a while. screen on balcony torn in several places but no misquitos thank goodness!
We planned a long weekend trip with 3 families and it was such a great place to stay! It was better than we even expected! The kids had their own space downstairs which allowed the adults to have some quiet time. Lots of TVs and games. The kitchen was stocked well. The bathrooms are nice and updated. We absolutely loved sitting on the back decks and enjoying the view with our coffee each morning. Only about 10 minutes to the main strip so it was easy to get around. The last mile to the cabin is a little steep but very manageable (my flat land friends were a little hesitant)
Overall we had a wonderful stay and would come here again!
We were finally able to get a time and a place for us, our daughters, and our grandkids to stay together for a few days. The Big Elk Lodge was the perfect place. Newly renovated, the beautiful view from the side of the mountain, the screened in porch with ample seating , smart tvs in almost every room, ample kitchen and eating areas, HVAC control on two floors, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and parking for four cars make this a destination lodge for your group.
We do suggest you bring your personal cutlery and your super large frying pan. Knowing this, my picky crew would go back in a second.

George, thank you for the review and are so glad your family enjoyed their stay. You all are welcome back anytime!
Great cabin, great host. Plenty of room for ten people (adult siblings and families, ages 10-53) to not be in each other's way. We spent a lot of time just hanging out on the screened in balcony, just taking in the view of the mountains. We even got to see deer walking around while we were having breakfast outside. Please note that the road to the cabin is steep, like 15 degrees steep. Make sure that you have four-wheel drive, or use your low gear. Otherwise, the cabin is everything from the listing and more. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is perfect! We would absolutely book this cabin if we vacation in Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge again. Thanks!
