Parun House in a small Istrian village Šajini is a byword for peace and quiet. This cozy house for two provides authentic experience of the Istrian village as it once was, ideal for “an escape from the city.”
Restored using authentic materials, it has a traditional feel of belonging to a place. The original small house built back in the year 1907 had a kitchen with a fireplace and a first-floor bedroom. The house was annexed a comfy living room during the 2003 restoration performed strictly abiding by the principle of keeping its authentic shape with careful attention to detail.
Modest as it might appear in terms of its size, the house nevertheless offers all comfort one might look for in a contemporary home in harmony with tradition. Spacious land on which the house is sitting is ideal for recreation of its temporary residents. The courtyard has a fireplace just perfect for relaxing BBQs.

Ruhiges gemütliches Haus mit Garten in Istrien fernab vom trubeligen Tourismus

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im kleinen Steinhaus mit wunderschönen Garten. Wer Ruhe sucht und für sich sein will ist hier genau richtig. Die Kommunikation mit Anuska war per WhatsApp immer unkompliziert und freundlich. Ab und zu kam Grozdana (eine Bäuerin aus dem Dorf) vorbei und hat uns mit Obst, Gemüse, Wein und Olivenöl versorgt. Man kann schöne Buchten entdecken, im nahegelegenen Kletterpark Nervenkitzel erleben und ganz Istrien von hier aus entdecken. Allerdings ist ein Auto unablässig und auch genug Mückenspray ist dringend zu empfehlen. Die Moskitonetze für die Betten waren wirklich goldwert. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Petit nid dans la campagne istrienne

Conforme à l'annonce, cette petite maison entre les deux côtés istrie ne est idéale pour un couplé avec de petits enfants. Les propriétaires. Anuska et Boris sont sympathiques et soucieux du confort de leurs hôtes. Et la région est magnifique.

Sehr gemütlich und hübsch

Das Haus und der Garten sind schön und gemütlich und der Ort wunderbar ruhig. Kühe und Ziegen finde ich keinen Nachteil, sondern authentisch. Es ist eine sehr gute Ausstattung vorhanden von PlayStation, Flatscreen bis Mückennetzen. Anuska steht für alle Rückfragen bereit und ist sehr freundlich. Einziger Minuspunkt betrifft nicht das Haus, sondern die Gegend: wir haben keinen wirklich schönen Strand gefunden, sondern nur die üblichen zum Teil sehr überlaufenen Steinstrände.

Wonderful, peaceful place

Wonderful, peaceful place - we had a very relaxing time. Beautiful little house with nice interior and fireplace, wlan, even tv, dvd, cd player - everything there. Outside a roof of white roses, garden, old oven and bikes to explore the area. Two nice restaurants with own vegetable garden nearby. Anuska gave us information about interesting things to do. Whenever there was a question, her answer came prompt. Thank you for the great holiday!

Beautiful authentic house in Istria

After a trip true croatia we wanted a place where we could be in peace and quite. And if we were up for it go out and experience what beautifull croatia has to offer. So the best would be a house in the middle of Istria. This beautifull authentic house from Anuska and Boris would do best. Arriving there was even nicer then on the pictures. What a lovelly job and what a love did these two people put in the house. They really made you feel at home instantly. Everything was great, you have two bisicles, a small market arround the corner, good beds, a great living, a kitchen and an outdoor garden. And if you wanted to go to the beach, you can be there in 15 minutes. Tell Boris and Anuska what you like and they got a lot of information about the local hotspots or those places where you normally won’t come because you need locals to point it out. We had a mega great time and will be back for sure. Thanks Boris & Anuska for the hospitality.

Idyllisch mit Einschränkungen

Bei unserer Ankunft war leider nicht alles so schön wie es auf den Fotos zu sehen war. Es ist zwar schon mit Geschmack gestaltet, aber technisch gab es doch einige Mängel und richtig geputzt und aufgeräumt war auch nicht. Das Haus ist ja nicht besonders groß und es standen überall liegengebliebene Dinge rum- vielleicht von vorhergehenden Mietern? In der Kaffeemaschine befand sich noch ein vertrockneter Filter, in der Küche alte Gewürze und ranzige Öle. Die Küchenregale waren eingestaubt und fettig, der Küchenschrank roch muffig, ebenso das Geschirr und der Brotkasten. Wir spülten alles, aber der Geruch ging nicht weg..Bis auf Teller, Tassen, Gläser und Besteck war nix zu gebrauchen, da alles veraltet und die Töpfe zerkratzt waren- von der Pfanne ganz zu schweigen! Wir reklamierten das und bekamen 2 Tage später 2 neue Töpfe und 1 sehr kleine Pfanne (für 1 Ei!)..Mit dem Strom und den vielen Kabel war auch sehr unpraktisch da nur mit Verlängerungskabel möglich und das war irgendwie immer im Weg, zudem hingen schon die Fasern raus-also war nicht ganz ungefährlich! Es gibt einen großen Spülstein in der Küche, leider fließt das Wasser gar nicht ab da falsch eingebaut?! Dafür war der Wasserhahn undicht und locker, so dass das Wasser hinten die Wand runterlief.. Also, mußte man einen Eimer drunter stellen, aber der Boden war immer nass und das war unangenehm! Der Herd hatte nur 2 Platten und es gibt keine Ablageflächen, da der Spülstein sehr groß ist und Platz braucht.. Also, für die Frühstücks Zubereitung ist die Küche ok, für weiteres fast ungeeignet..Wohnzimmer ist ok, leider roch das Sofa und die Kissen auch sehr muffig! Badezimmer sehr klein und wenig Ablageflächen und für Handtücher kein Platz! Betten sind ganz gut, bei einem Bett spürte man die Spiralen vom Rost.. Handtücher und Bettwäsche waren aber ausreichend vorhanden.. Schade, aber wir hatten den Eindruck, dass das Haus zu wenig regelmäßig gewartet wird. Es wirkte doch etwas vernachlässigt und einiges müsste einfach auch mal ausgetauscht werden oder vor allem ausgemistet werden! Leider gab es auch keinen Sonnenschutz für draußen- der weiße Vorhang existiert nicht mehr und vormittags knallt die Sonne schon erbarmungslos da hin- zumindest im Sommer! Und Mückenschutz nicht vergessen!! Es gab reichlich viele Plagegeister!! Das Haus steht in Nachbarschaft mit noch 2 Häuser, welche auf den Fotos nicht zu sehen sind- kann dann auch mal lauter sein..

Sweet home in Sajini!

Ein istrisisches Steinhaus sehr liebevoll restauriert und eingerichtet. Anuska hat bereits bei unserer Ankunft auf uns gewartet und uns eine Führung durch ihr gemühtliches Steinhaus gegeben und uns auch noch maßgeschneiderte Reisetips gegeben. Strategisch liegt das "Haus Parun" sehr gut, wenn man mobil ist. Sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind relativ schnell zu erreichen, ob Pula (ca. 20 min), Rovinji (ca. 35 min) oder Badebuchten (die nächste ca. 15 min). Da wir zwei Wochen vor Ort waren haben wir auch 2 Sets an Bettwäsche und Handtüchern bekommen. Das Haus war insgesamt sehr sauber. Die Einrichtung ist passend zu dem Haus teilweise mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet, verfügt aber über eine Waschmaschine, einen großen Flatscreen und einen CD und DVD Player, sogar WLAN steht einem zur Verfügung. Insgesamt ist das Haus sehr gemühtlich mit seinen großen Betten und dem großen Sofa im Wohnzimmer. Dafür war vom Feuerzeug über Geschirrspülmittel und Schwamm, Salz&Pfeffer, Toilettenpapier, bis hin zum Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine alles im Haus vorhanden. Das Haus ist nicht freistehend, es grenzt nach links an ein ähnliches Haus an, wird aber durch eine hohe alte mit Efeu bewachsene Steinmauer getrennt. Hier sitzt man sehr schön und kann wunderbar in der Sonne frühstücken! Der Garten ist nicht angelegt aber bietet genug Fläche um sich auf einen der Liegestühle zu erholen. Empfehlenswert ist ein Mückennetz, es waren doch einige dieser Biester unterwegs. Ein Problem mit Fliegen und sonstigen Insekten sollte man auch nicht unbedingt haben, da es ein altes Haus mitten in einer ländlichen Gegend mit Kühen und Schafen ist, gibt es auch einfach mehr "Geziefer". Insgesamt hat es uns dort sehr gut gefallen und wir würden auch nochmal hinfahren, keine Frage - danke Anuska!

Enjoy Istria !

We (2 people) stayed 2 weeks in the delicious Parun house and our stay was really good. Sajini is in a real strategical position if you want to visit Istria, close to the beaches and the wonderful cities of Porec and Rovinj. In the village you will find a nice konoba where the food is good but needs your visit only to meet the owner 'Giovanni' . The house is really clean and well furnished with internal and external oven, tv, dvd and cd player, and also our cats that were travelling with us liked very much. Anuska and Boris were very kind and helpful(during the holiday we had a technical problem and after only 2 hours the serviceman was at home to repair it).We feel to suggest Parun house for your holidays in Istria !

Great House for Cozy Getaway in Istria

Our family of four, who are on a 10 month travel journey, had a wonderful stay at this "escape from the city". The owners were extremely helpful even bringing us their Galaxy tablet while raining since we had issues with our Internet access. The house has a lovely fire place that we kept burning the entire time. The house has all the amenities for a cozy and relaxing stay. The combination of great owners and a very unique house and location make this a great place to get away to.

Peaceful retreat in rural Istria

The house has been renovated with taste and had all the necessary amenities (cooking appliances, TV, the owners supplied us with free internet for 5 days, nice garden where you can do BBQ). It is situated in a very quiet village in the countryside in Southern Istria (try the local restaurant in the village as it has very nice home made food and the owner provides a warm and friendly atmosphere), but it was still close to Pula (30 minute drive) or Labin (45 minute drive). The owners were very friendly, welcoming us to the house and even asking us in advance what tips would we like to get from them. We would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a peaceful getaway or a combination of beach and countryside as we did.
