Gorgeous Hawaiian apartment

Gorgeous place to stay, very Hawaiian feel with amazing views. 5 min drive into centre on town. Great communication with property manager. Especially loved that there were beach towels we could use. Definitely recommend.

Multiple rental units in this house which means you can hear every noise from downstairs. The AC would randomly stop working and there is no TV in the living area. The host is very responsive but the property needs work. it was not a peaceful stay especially for the price.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, I can’t recall ever getting a review below 4 stars. We’re truly sorry your stay wasn’t as peaceful as you’d hoped, especially at the end. We appreciate you highlighting these points so we can continue improving. Our listing on VRBO clearly identifies the property as a penthouse style apartment and the photos reflect the layout and setup—including the absence of a TV in the living area (as there isn’t a suitable non-window wall for mounting one). Hawaii offers so much natural beauty and outdoor adventure that many guests prefer to unplug from screens, but we understand expectations can vary, and we’re glad you noted our responsiveness during your trip. Regarding the noise from the downstairs neighbor, we enforce strict quiet hours and take violations seriously. Unfortunately, this particular issue only came to our attention late in your stay, but we’ve since implemented additional sound-muffling solutions between units to prevent this in the future and ensure a quieter experience for everyone. On the AC, you’re right that it stopped working intermittently—it was due to a Freon leak from an improperly installed hose on our brand-new system. We had a technician out immediately to repair it fully, and it’s now running reliably. We regret the inconvenience this caused. Your input helps us make the property better for future

Our unique home with multiple units fits right in and gives guests a chance to experience Kona from a local perspective while still being close to beaches, coffee farms, and everything else that makes this place special.
