Bigfoot's Creek is a quaint home on Sugar Mountain. A very unique property with a stream running under the front deck and a private gazebo in the sideyard. Truly a home for the outdoor lover with a wooded yard, streams, bridges, and a large deck with a gas firepit. Enter the home and walk into an open-concept living room/kitchen. The ambiance is set by the high tongue and groove ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows. The kitchen area is fully furnished and offers stainless steel appliances. With 5 bedrooms, there is plenty of sleeping space. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bath and a private deck entrance. There are four guest bedrooms, two with queen beds and two with bunk beds. There are 2 1/2 baths. The owner has stocked the home with plenty of board games to play when you are ready to come inside from your outdoor activities, and has added air conditioning.
Bigfoot's Creek is close to all the amenities that the mountain offers. In less than a 2-mile drive, you can go skiing, tubing, ice skating, golfing, tennis, biking, gem mining, mountain coaster, restaurants, shopping, and more.

The house looked nice but most of the interior doors did not latch and the there was mold in the baseboards of the bathroom. We shared the house with another family and it had plenty of space. Some of the beds were pretty uncomfortable but there was plenty of space for 10 people.

Great property ! Close to slopes , banner elk , Boone , and the blue ridge parkway. Great hikes , waterfalls , and amusements are all close by. Easy instructions for the running of the house and exiting as well . All around great experience. Would rent again in a heartbeat.
We got the last 4 inches before the end of the season .

We loved this place. The pictures dont do it justice. It's better in person. It is older but does provide a roof over your head and heat and air and that is all that really matters.

This house was in a great location , however we would not stay again . We shared this space with two other couples . The bed space was limited . The host advertised two queen beds and one was clearly a double bed . Even upon leaving we found the sheets said double on them . We also found all beds to be very uncomfortable. The house was not clean , there was evidence of water damage throughout. The kitchen was well stocked and the creek under the house was very nice . There is a wood burning fireplace . You must provide the wood . Overall we had a great time but the beds certainly need to be replaced and the couch was broken as well .

This house is in a great location by a creek. We appreciate your helpful comments. The house has one king bed, two queen beds, and 2 sets of bunk beds. We realize that everyone has a different opinion about comfortable beds, and it is difficult to please everyone. This house has a variety of beds. We are sorry that you thought the house was not clean. We did have it cleaned and inspected before your arrival. We will certainly check on the couch. In the future, we have other locations available that we can help you with if you choose to come back to Sugar Mountain.

House was in a great location for our trip. It fit our needs. There are some cosmetic issues in the house but nothing that would keep me from recommending a stay. We enjoyed the creek that runs across the property.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The stream out front was beautiful and our kids enjoyed playing around it while we were there. The house was comfortable with lots of games and puzzles and the location was awesome. Very central and close to all the things we wanted to do and see. The house could stand a little updating/love with the master shower being tricky and just some chipping paint and wear around the house but all of that was quite minor. We would happily stay again.

So convenient for the slopes

We had a great time! The house was tiny but somehow still had plenty of room for all 10 of us! The squirrel that hangs on a swing in the kitchen was the highlight of the weekend.

Location was great - especially if you ski. We were there in the summer and very nice hilly area. Property is a bit worn and not super clean. The lighting is terrible, cabinet fronts fell off (they repaired them), AC units very loud and ineffective in some rooms, bring your own kitchen utensils as the ones provided are very cheap. Property managers responsive but you can only do so much with a worn out property that hasn’t been well maintained.

Thank you for your helpful comments. This property is in a great location with a stream in front. The new owners are working on updates to the house. We did fix two drawer fronts that had come loose. No other cabinet fronts were found to be falling off. We will check on the utensils, but many were replaced last year. As property managers, we strive to help our guests enjoy their stay as much as possible.

Great ski trip

We took the kids up to Sugar Mountain for a few days to ski/snowboard right before Christmas and the house was a perfect place for us to stay. So close to the mountain and so convenient. We had a great time. Just wished the kitchen would have been stocked with a few more cooking items (no sheet pans or cookie sheets) but that didn’t stop us from having a great time!
