We used both cabins as a space for us to stay overnight and get ready for our wedding day at the Dam Inn! One cabin we used for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready and the other we used for the groom and groomsmen!
In a word, SERENE. The location was heavenly! There were people in the adjoining unit but we never heard them, probably due to the sweet sound of the river. Everything was clean and so comfy. They do themselves a disservice by listing the second bedroom as a “twin”. The bunk beds are at least full size, maybe queen. We will definitely stay here again when back in the area.
We were in town for a family reunion about a mile away and this cabin was absolutely perfect! Not only is in spectacular shape, the outdoor area is peaceful and so fun. Brandon was fantastic and I could not recommend this place more. We will absolutely be back every year for the family reunion (and maybe even another time too)!
We hosted a birthday party with a large group of people, including lots of young children, and this venue is absolutely perfect for everyone to enjoy. The cabins were gorgeous, very clean, spacious and easily usable for people of all ages. Highly recommended checking this place out!! We will be back!
Our stay at the cabin was top notch! It was peaceful, with the most beautiful scenery. The Cabin was nice and clean! The host was great with communication as well. 10/10 recommend.
The cabins are very nice. It is very difficult to sleep 9 people with the layout. The bunk beds are very small and do not fit two adults very comfortable.
We absolutely loved staying in these cabins! They were beautiful inside, the beds were comfortable, the space clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The access to the river was perfect for kayaking and tubing. The fire pit and pavilion were situated perfectly for spending time with family in the evening or having a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning. Many of us are local to the area, but this felt like a true vacation destination even though we were just a short drive from home. We really enjoyed our weekend here and are already planning our next trip!
The place was absolutely beautiful and had all necessary accommodations. The only thing was no bureau in either room . We will definitely be back. Thank you
We have been visiting this area to fish for years. When we spotted these new cabins in the spring, we knew we wanted to stay here! Everything is new and the location cannot be beat! Easy access to the East Branch of the Clarion River. If you're not in the mood to cook, it is a short drive to The Dam Inn. Bendigo State Park is less than 3 miles away or take a short drive to East Branch Dam and Lake. Of course, I wouldn't blame you if you never left the cabin...the view from the cabin and fire pit can't be beat! We saw an otter swim up the river both mornings we were there. I cannot say enough good things about this property! We will be back!
My family attended a family wedding the week a the Dam Inn and reserved both Gone Fishing and Barely Awake for the weekend. We found both properties to be very clean, nicely furnished and looked to be almost brand new. Both cabins are situated with the North Branch of the Clarion river running through the back of the property. When we did have free time, it was spent enjoying the early fall weather in the comfortable chairs around the firepit. If we would have had more time, we certainly would have taken advantage of the fire pit, fishing opportunities in the back yard or kayaking down the river. The two cabins are appoximately 30 yards appart and you can easily walk between them in the grass path or the gravel roadway. The only caution that I would give is that the cell service is very limited in that area of Elk county so calling or GPS service is difficult to get. If you are not familiar with the area, make sure that you print out a map and load the address into your directional app prior to leaving St Mary's as it's not available near the cabin. Also, plan on texting with members of your party as the cell service in the area is very schetchy.Everyone commented that they would have like to have spend more time at the cabins.Communications with our host was great. Jess was very responsible and checked on us after we checked in.

Family owned and operated by two brothers and their wives. We all live in Ridgway with our families and have all our lives. Combined we have six kids, all around the same age who are fortunate to grow up together. We are also very fortunate to live in the same town as the rest of our family. Each of us four bring something unique to this, which makes it all the more special. And we are so happy we get to share that with all of you. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy being able to offer this amazing place, in an even better location, to you and your friends and families. And remember... Our Cabins... Your Escape!
Why they chose this property
This location is secluded yet just close enough to so many one-of-a-kind amenities, most that are locally owned and operated. We grew up coming to this area, and still come here to this day. We love it. Our kids love it. Our family and friends love it. And so will you! There is something very special about small towns and we wanted to offer a glimpse into that life to our guests. Whether you are local and just need a quiet escape for a few days or have never been to our rural area before and wanted to experience it and all it has to offer for the first time, you will not be disappointed! And we hope that after your stay, it won't be your last.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is perfectly situated on the bank of the Clarion River, where you can hear the calming sound of the water run by all day and all night, and the delightful, soothing sound of the Peepers at night. You're walking distance from an amazing restaurant with great food, drinks and entertainment, and just a short drive to any surrounding local town. The possibilities here are endless! We truly hope you enjoy your time here and will continue to come back for years to come.
