Really really loved how clean and inviting the place was. It was modern not stuffy and there was plenty of room and everything was well stocked! I would highly recommend this place for anyone staying! Loved loved loved it

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and light filled. The kitchen was well-equipped, and communication with the management company was clear and timely. We'd definitely recommend a stay here.

Fabulous House Close to the Beach

Had a great stay with extended family at Sandslot. The living space is great for gathering and it's just a short walk to the beach. Recently updated. Very comfortable beds and an amazing master suite.

The home itself and location are wonderful, lovely updates throughout. The property management company left a lot to be desired in the role of “host”.8 minutes before our check in we were informed the dishwasher was broken and, if you’ve ever travelled with toddlers, you’re well aware that it’s a “trip” and not a “vacation” so we were intentional with booking a home where we could cook and not have to wrangle 3 three and unders at restaurants so to also be told with minimal heads up that we’d also be on for hand washing dishes all weekend was disappointing to say the least. We stopped to grab disposables on our way into town to minimize time spent at the sink and were told that expense would be on us and while their rental agreement does not cover broken appliances (that are advertised in the listing), we were offered an abysmal 2% refund on an already highly priced holiday weekend stay. Disappointed at the lack of desire to remedy and host by the pmc, we’ll be looking at homes managed by other companies in the future.

Courtney, once again, we apologize that the dishwasher stopped working prior to your arrival. As we previously explained, we never like having to contact guests with disappointing news before their stay, but we also didn't want you to arrive and be surprised by the issue. We notified you as soon as our maintenance team, who made every effort to get the dishwasher operational before your check-in, determined that the problem could not be resolved in time. Unfortunately, because the home is located in a rural area, the appliance service company we rely on had already closed for the day and was unable to assist before your arrival. While unexpected mechanical failures can occur at any time, we understand how inconvenient this was, especially for a family traveling with young children and planning to prepare meals in the home. As outlined in our rental agreement, we generally do not provide refunds for unexpected appliance failures because we cannot predict or prevent when mechanical issues will occur. However, recognizing the inconvenience to your family and the size of your group, we did make an exception and offered compensation as a gesture of goodwill. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry this issue affected your overall experience. We continuously evaluate how we communicate and support guests when unforeseen situations arise, and we wish you and your family all the best in your future travels.

Well-kept house with terrific beach access!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. We loved the easy access over the dunes to the beach. Slightly more than just "peek a boo" iews of ocean- could admire dunes and surf from deck and dining area. Close to Manzanita. House was very clean and orderly. Thanks again!

An Amazing Place to Stay.

The Sandslot is fantastic. Such a comfortable home, bright and clean with one of the best equipped kitchens that we've ever stayed in. The deck was perfect for lazy afternoon drinks and sunset watching and the gas fire in the lounge created a perfect relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. The beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were spacious and bright. Being outside of town, the location is also perfect for tranquility, only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes farther to Nehalem Bay State Park which has some lovely walking trails with views of Nehalem Bay. The shops and eateries of Manzanita are roughly a mile away but this was very pleasantly walkable or easily drivable. Manzanita Beach Getaway's staff, Vicki V in particular, were helpful, speedy and courteous at every step of the rental process from booking the property, through checking in/out, answering questions while we were there and even locating and returning a left behind item once we had left. We highly recommend this property and Manzanita Beach Getaways and will definitely book with them in the future.
