We really appreciate you pointing out the areas where we can improve. The blinds in the main bedroom had unfortunately been damaged by a previous guest shortly before your stay, and we weren’t able to get them replaced in time. We agree they need attention and are working on getting them taken care of. We’re also sorry about the unusually large number of house flies during your visit. The property had been vacant for a period of time, and while we had taken steps to prepare the home, clearly more needed to be done before your arrival. We’re taking this seriously and will be making sure the house receives additional attention between guests. We also appreciate the comments about the grill, spider webs, and access to the water. Your feedback is helpful as we continue making improvements. We agree that the property has a lot of potential, and our goal is to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible while preserving the peaceful, natural setting that makes the location special. I will ensure that the property is thoroughly cleaned and free from any traces of dog hair after each turnover. Unlike other owners or hotels, I believe in inclusivity and do not charge extra for dogs. There are no size restrictions, and I welcome all breeds, recognizing that shedding and hair length can vary. There are common challenges with internet and cell service in Vermont, particularly in resort and rural areas. Dear Patricia. I am very sorry you had to go back home prior to the full completion of your stay, due to the bad health of your 13-year-old dog. I understand your frustration, however, this is not a reason to reimburse the amount paid for the unused days, especially since in your own words ‘her health recently has been declining’. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts, I was unable to help you to tune in, on my Roku TV, to your favorite channel WCAX for the local news. I understand it is not always easy to navigate new technologies. I hope you were able to drive back safely to your home in Vermont with the map and my detailed instructions for the appropriate state road and highway. Thanks for mentioning in your last email: ‘YOUR PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE’!
