10 thumbs up! We had a last minute change of spring break plans and lucked out that this cabin was available for the four nights we had planned to spend at Red River Gorge! We have 3 kids, ages 10, 12, 14. The boys were so excited to have the game room as their bedroom and the half bathroom up there was an amazing amenity. The teenager had her own room with a TV to hide in and we had the bedroom with a private bathroom. We cooked a full breakfast and dinner in the kitchen every day. It is a 40-55 minute drive to the different activities and sights around the gorge, but it was worth it to come home to such a quiet and private location every night. The hot tub was clean and the host responded immediately when I had a question about it. We had to utilize the Frenchburg Pharmacy due to a hiking injury and they were lovely to work with. We are avid travelers and the kids have asked to come back to this area just for the cabin alone. Highly recommend the USFS Gladie Visitor Center that is about 45 mins away for planning your hikes and sight seeing.

The cabin is great, A/C kicks thank goodness! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We visited natural bridge and had pizza at the world famous Miguels pizza. Ms. Smanatha is great, her communications and instructions were very helpful, she was ALWAYS very quick to answer any questions and to check on us, thank you!

Perfect for a cozy little get away. It accommodated everyone who stayed! Close enough to venture to RRG ( which we had to get eloped!) The cabin was equipped with plenty of games for inside entertainment and the hot tub was a perfect escape from the cold to enjoy an amazing viewthet

Beautiful spacious cabin

My adult kids and I had plenty of space and things to do at the cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Even some things I didnt know I would need. Thanks for helping to make memories.

Fantastic cabin in the mountains!

Loved this quaint wood cabin in the woods! Plenty of room for our family of 5 to stay very comfortably. Loved the loft game room, great room, hot tub, camp fire, front & back porches and the unique amenities (board games, comfy bedding, plush blankets, firewood, etc!!) This place has it all and we look forward to returning. Note: took us 30-45 minutes to get to the majority of Red River Gorge trails we did, but the drive was beautiful and enjoyable!!

Property is as advertised, everything was pretty good. The beds downstairs have some issues with the legs so they sink in the middle. Otherwise kitchen is well equipped, everything worked, house is in good shape. Reason for 4 stars is the location. It's very far from anything, takes absolutely forever to get anywhere. Not even a decent supermarket in the town, although there is a nice farmers market.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. For those looking for a peaceful escape away from the chaos and noise, this is the perfect location. If you're wanting to stay near your activities, I would recommend a property in town. For many, the 20-40 minute drives into Cave Run lake or Slade is a fair tradeoff for the peace you experience. The city of Frenchburg (15 minutes) has a very decent sized grocery store. There were also several hikes within minutes. I hope you can appreciate the natural luxury our location provides.

Beautiful cabin in red river gorge area

We stayed here with our kids as well as our friends and their kids. It was the perfect “home base” for our trip. The cabin was beautiful. It had every amenity we needed. The kids loved the pool table and video game. We loved the hot tub after a day of hiking. We made s’mores around the fire in the fire pit outside and did some serious star gazing at night with incredible dark sky views! We had a blast hiking the Gorge and Natural Bridge which aren’t too far away. We would definitely return. This was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway!

Wonderful Getaway

Samantha was wonderful to work with, ver quick responses and available for questions. The Cabin was very clean, stocked with so many essentials I thought I would need to purchase. It has so many amenities like the Hot Tub, Pool Table, Arcade Game, Outside Fire pit etc! The area is beautiful and you get a lot of peace and quiet. There are lots of things to do not too far from the cabin. I absolutely recommend checking out this place! Must needed R&R and fun!
