The place is very nice and cozy! Kitchen has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable! Only suggestion I'd have is the living room furniture could potentially use an upgrade to a bigger couch/chairs. Also, a bath mat for the bathroom floor as it was a bit slippery when getting out of the shower. Other than that, a very comfortable stay!
This apartment is clean and convenient location for my needs considering this out of state visitor necessity to access several locations in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Thanks for sharing your home

The house was easy to find and easily accessible. The neighborhood was nice. We booked the house for 5 days but only stayed there for about 14 hours do to the black and green mold in the air conditioner and windows. My son has asthma and once we turned on the window AC units he immediately had trouble breathing. This stay was in June so we had to sleep in the heat without AC which was challenging. In addition, my wife and I both had terrible allergies as a result of the mold.We contacted the owner and were offered a 50% refund, but they never actually gave us the refund despite contacting them a couple times.
Enjoyed our stay here in Portsmouth, easy check in along with detailed check out instructions. Would keep in mind for future trips back to the 757, close to Norfolk tunnel.
Overall an OK rental, could use some improvements for a more comfortable stay. The house is spacious but the living room furniture is not conducive to relaxing. The narrow couch and chairs make it feel a bit like a waiting room. A more spacious and cozy couch that seats multiple people would make this room a lot more comfortable. The porch light, which is instructed to be kept on, shines brightly at night into the bedroom adjacent to the porch. Curtains would go a long way here. The bedroom lighting is awkward with a floor lamp that does not pair well with a bedroom setting. Two nightstands with a lamp on each side of the bed would be much better. The apartment sleeps four, but the kitchen table seats two. It is small and the chairs are uncomfortable. The Teflon/non stick pans should be replaced with new, unscratched pans. Although it was nice to have an air conditioning unit in every room, the AC in the room adjacent to the porch could use a good clean.Otherwise, its livable, but a little more care would go a long way. The pantry items were a nice touch. It was helpful to have a driveway to park in. The washer and dryer were very useful and everything was clean aside from the AC.
You get what you pay for, and I got what I paid for. I am satisfied, a roof over my head and a bed to sleep on and a hot shower.I was expecting more of a country setting judging from outside pictures, but rather it is very close to stores and fast food ( my fault a simple look at maps could have revealed this to me).The only concerns and recommendations I have are, instructions said not to leave food, but when I arrived the cupboards had food in it (free food not a bad thing, but bring it up because I don't want to get the blame). The toaster box was empty, (went to the nearby store and bought one myself, no biggie). The back door should be replaced as there is a gap at the top when it is closed. No furniture on back porch ( a little table and chairs would be great). The gate needs to be repaired as it rubs on the ground while trying to open it. And the yard could of been mowed, grass was about 8" high which didn't stop us from playing games and enjoying ourselves. I would also recommend a recliner or love seat for the living room over the furniture currently there. One final oddity, The broom had no dustpan.Overall it could use a little maintenance to make it a really nice deal. Would I stay again absolutely, it's better than a hotel room. It was clean and I enjoyed my stay. I recommend a local restaurant fish and slips, delicious, Just minutes away.
Our stay was comfortable and had basic accommodations. A more spacious and comfortable seating arrangement in the living room would be recommended. Unfortunately, the oven was not working correctly and overheated and burnt what I was baking. Other than those two accounts I would recommend this for anyone visiting the area.
