Great hikes right off property. Perfect location for day trips in any direction if you enjoy nature and birds. Place was comfortable and clean. A few dyi issues with bathroom. Met our needs and would go back.
Everything was good - comfortable stay in a location that worked great for us. The place was clean, cute and adequate for sure. Nothing “special” accommodation wise, but that’s not what we needed nor expected. We loved the farm fresh eggs, coffee and creamer ready for us. Our hosts were very kind and friendly- I’m sure they would have helped if we had needed anything. We would certainly stay there again if back in the area.
I stayed here a week in late January 2020 and will definitely stay here again. The casitas are located on a small scale farm owned by a wood working family. With its tall shade trees, greenery, and the flowing Santa Cruz River nearby, it felt like an oasis. I was welcomed with farm fresh eggs, butter, and a lb. of terrific coffee in the fridge. My casita was of good size, comfortable, clean, with all the amenities needed. I will try to stay longer the next time around.
From the photo we were expecting a small single house. In fact, this is a compound of casitas, with about 4-6 units, plus a clubhouse with a giant tv and other amenities, and farm animals including goats, chickens, mini horses and a burro. Fun, quirky and picturesque. Best of all, the driveway is right on Santa Gertrudis lane--one of the best birding spots in America--and a few dozen yards from the Anza historical trail.
We had a fabulous mini get away. The casita was clean and looked just like the pictures! Our hosts were very accommodating and professional. The fruit and fresh eggs were an special touch. We will be back!
Great little place to stay. Close to Tubac which is a fun town to explore.

Clean and spacious but prepare for rustic surroundings
The inside of the casita has plenty of space with new furnishings, but Santa Gertrudis Lane is easy to pass by and the dirt farm lane had recently flooded. It was peaceful and the hostess was generous with fresh eggs and creme from her farmyard. Beware of the pricing on-line. We paid more than double the "average price" that was listed.

My husband and I fell in love with this property located just outside of Tubac and off of the Santa Cruz River. We were bewitched by the history of the property and were compelled to renovate the buildings. We have put unique touches in each of our offerings to soothe our guests and renew their spirit. We are woodworkers and our studio is on the premises. We create functional art with local mesquite wood.
