Our House is conveniently located south of the city of Rhodes ,on the eastern coast of the island, making it the perfect base for exploring all that Rhodes has to offer ,the nearby beaches of Stegna and Tsambika are both just a short drive away, with Stegna Beach only six minutes from our property .
Archaggelos is a village steeped in tradition ,with its center dominated by the beautiful church of Archangel Michael. Here bread is still baked in traditional wood fired ovens and locals proudly uphold the skills and crafts passed down through generations. Weddings are still held in traditional ceremonies and the local dialect is still spoken. Major economic resources include tourism, agriculture (main agricultural products are olive oil and citrus fruits), stockbreeding and pottery. Pottery was always one of the major occupations of the people of Archaggelos. It is said that the dome of Hagia Sophia(in Constantinople) was built using light bricks from Archaggelos.
