This is our second year back at this property and it never disappoints, everything you need is at the house and our 2 grandson enjoyed fishing every day even in the rain. When they weren’t fishing we were playing games or watching movies, can’t say enough good things about this property, Thanks Janette, we will be back!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and spotless! Communication was prompt. We really enjoyed the sunroom and outside space. It is very well equipped! Loved the Berkey! We brought our boat and enjoyed a few days on Crystal Lake, it’s enormous with a lot of places to pull off and swim. We will be back! Thank you! Deb & David

Our family has camped annually at Buckhorn State Park for over 20 years. Our adult children have added members to our family and camping is not for everyone! This home was perfectly located to allow our daughter’s family including my 10 month old and 2 year old grandchildren to enjoy the beach and boating and picnics with the comforts of a clean, well equipped, cozy home to retreat to. Janette was wonderful to work with and the house was lovely ! I hope we earned her approval and can be repeat customers!

Great comfy cottage near the Lake

Cute, super clean, fully equipped cozy cottage near Castle Rock Lake (the boat launch less than a mile away). The home is located in a quiet neighborhood which was great for long walks. Enjoyed a great holiday getaway and will plan to return!

Getaway for family reunion

We absolutely loved the cottage! It was super clean, truly a home away from home. There was no detail missed. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch where we spent 90% of our time. It is super quiet out there and relaxing. We will be back.

This is a great place! Everything you need is there. One of the very few rentals that I have stayed at where the kitchen knives are actually usable! Clean, comfortable, and Janette is the best host ever! I would like to give this place an 11 out of 10 rating.

The rental was amazing, photos do not do this place justice. Fully stocked with cooking supplies, games, and movies. The neighborhood was quiet. 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to a hiking area. Would definitely stay in this rental on my next visit to the area.

My son had a LAX tournament and we chose to VRBO. This cabin was awesome! Dad/son time that does not happen much. Fire pit and screened porch are great. All your needs are included and the beds are comfortable. Location has nearby restaurants/supermarket.

Check in was very efficient & accurate. I’m from Necedah & my parents live 5 mins down the street. My only concern regarding this property was the strong odor of animal pee in the living area. When you walk in, you smell a very distinct smell.

I want to point out that the wool area rug in the living room can present a “distinct smell” of damp wool at times and has been this way since we purchased it new. This may be present at times when the home has sat empty and is closed up several days between guests without leaving the air on. This was the case before your visit. We have experienced a long period of very high heat and humidity recently which I’m sure hasn’t helped. I’m sorry this bothered you. None of our previous guests have ever mentioned this before but we will have a professional guide us on a treatment or replacement. Thanks for your review and for bringing this to my attention. Great Place

The property is exactly as described. It is very clean, organized, tastefully decorated and is in a great location. The owner's attention to details were greatly appreciated.
