This lake and this cottage exemplify Michigan summer in all the best ways! The house is updated, has everything you need, and is quaint and well laid out. The beds were comfortable with soft linens, and nice baths. We also had plenty of room for our family to gather. We were a group of 10 with 5 more staying at another small property nearby. We made family meals for our large group for lunch and dinner and had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was also opening weekend for college football and we had a few sports fans who were so glad there was a big tv to watch their favorite teams! Truly—just seemed like there was something for everyone! The deck was my favorite and we played cards with the most beautiful view of the lake from morning til sunset. So gorgeous ! We saw swans, blue heron, ducks, and our youngest caught more fish than he could count just sitting on the dock. Thanks to Devin’s recommendation, we rented a boat from Sunset Pontoons (make your reservation early—great service but they do run out of rentals) and so we also enjoyed the easy access to the dock. The lake is perfect for boating and was a great activity for everyone from kids to adults. The neighbors were cordial—we had kids playing football and volleyball and had plenty of space in the yard to play without any issues. Great communication from our hosts. Beautiful area and close enough to Three Rivers for any last minute needs if you have to have something. Highly recommend!
