We had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of room for all of our group. It was very well-stocked and the property manager was very helpful. We were there the first week of august, so the house did get a little warm in the afternoons.

It is an excellent house, we enjoyed really much the house and its surroundings. The system that we didn’t have to carry keys is great. Joanna was very helpful when we needed her, she responded the texts very quickly. As suggestions…..the house needs more floor fans, one for each bedroom and main living quarters. Also one plunger in each bathroom. In addition, it would have been nice if we had grill utensils, we never found them if they were there. We tried to fish in the pond but it seems there weren’t any fish, no big deal, there are plenty of places to go fishing in the area.Overall very nice, quiet, and comfortable. We had an amazing time!!!

The place was beautiful. And very clean saw lots of wildlife. The fire places were amazing and the location was amazing. Only thing it was as private as it was made to look to could see all the other house very close to you but other than that very nice.

It was our first time in Jackson Hole and we couldn’t have had a better experience !!!

Our stay at the John Dodge house was superb, we spent an Amazing Christmas as a family in a setting that made us feel part of a movie set. Location was perfect 🔛 from the slopes to downtown Jackson, the mountain’s views were all around the house! We highly recommend this property!

Great trip

We had a wonderful vacation and loved the house. The location was great and we could not have been happier with the house in every way. We were greeted by a herd of about 10 elk the first evening and we enjoyed riding the bikes to the river and we fished a few evenings. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of space and the pool table was nice as well. We checked out the area each day and went horseback riding, rented UTV's, did a river float, hiked across from Jenny Lake, went to the rodeo and rode the gondola to the top of the mountain among several other things. The house is close to town and the park and is very well stocked, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fabulous week in Jackson Hole

This "cabin" was exactly what our multi-generational family needed. Enough bedrooms, mostly king sized beds and some twins. We were all so comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring both Grand Tetons NP and Yellowstone NP, plus the Jackson Hole area in general. We saw wildlife on the property and in the neighborhood. The Wifi kept us in the loop with the rest of the world, and overall, we couldn't think of a negative thing to say. Property manager is very responsive and we recommend this home heartily. (We know nothing of the situation in the winter, but in the summer, it was great!)

An amazing house!

We pulled up and we were amazed at how big and spacious this house was. They had put out some treats for us and a nice note. They also had the fridge stocked with some amazing essentials. There were a lot of rooms and a hot tub which is nice after a day of skiing. They had a lot of games and a pool table which is always entertaining. I would recommend this house to everyone!

More than we expected!

The Neighborhood is a spectacular wildlife refuge. We walked by a bull moose sleeping in someone's front yard on our walk to the Snake River - great walking path along the river. We were awakened by a bull elk bugling, and watched the herd of 20 around the house for hours. The home was very comfortable and well stocked. We cooked and grilled many of our meals. The master bedroom was great with a warm and cozy fireplace. Was able to watch a hot air balloon go by while drinking my morning coffee. Fabulous!

Perfect home & location!

Staying in this beautiful log home made our Fall vacation in Jackson Hole, WY absolutely perfect. The home is very clean, has all needed amentities, privacy, and beautiful views of the Teton range. The property owner was extremely attentive and professional with answering all our questions in a timely fashion, and providing information about local activities to assist us with planning our trip. We had a small elk herd visit the property most evenings who put on a "bugling" show, and a lone bull moose who would lumber through the yard on the nights that the elk weren't there. Whether you aim to relax, fish, kayak, raft, hike, take in the scenery of the Teton and Yellowsone National Parks by car, or all of the above - we would highly recommend this home for the base camp of your vacation.

Perfect location

My family and a few very close friends have been coming to Jackson Hole area every year for 7 years. This was the first time we stayed outside of Teton Village and I could not have been happier. The house location was beyond perfect (a 4 minute drive to drop off my skiing family at the bottom of the lifts). The wildlife around the house was incredible-we had a beautiful fox visit outside nightly along with the elk, deer and even a bald eagle. The amenities, kitchen, bathrooms were well stocked. Beds beyond comfortable. We used the real wood burning fireplaces daily (yes, multiple fireplaces- in the bedroom was so relaxing). We had 8 people and plenty of room for everyone. We had zero problems or questions but, Joanna the house manager checked in on us to ensure we didn’t need anything. Absolutely, perfect stay and planning to return again as soon as possible.

Second time renting this property and loved it just as much as the first time!

Our family met here for the 2nd time as four of our kids came from the west and we came from the east. It felt like home to all of us! We want to move here but that's not in the cards. This month rental was the next best thing! Saw a bunch of wildlife again... a mother moose with her calf....could have jumped off the back deck onto it's back! Saw an eagle one day and unlike last year, this year we had a fox visit us for a few days and then a great grey owl came by one evening and hung out. Pretty awesome! It IS a wonderful setting and it's still hard to believe that you can see the Tetons from inside the house from many windows. So convenient to the ski area that you can have lunch back at the house if you want. Also found out that you can drive your car on the back side of the Elk refuge and actually be in the refuge where we saw a few eagles, many antelope and a bunch of Big Horn sheep...all up close and personal! Amazing!!! We all hope to be able to come again next year! Thank you again for sharing!!!

Outstanding home in a beautiful "wild west" setting

What a wonderful week we had at your family home! At the end of each day, the kids were always anxious to return to "the log cabin" as they called it. We played volleyball, hiked to the Snake River, enjoyed the many bird, elk and moose sightings and all these activities were enjoyed at the house. This trip to Wyoming was a first for our family and we came away with such a great appreciation for the "wild west" and how our pioneers lived. Yellowstone was amazing but we enjoyed the Grand Tetons slightly more and this was a short drive from the house. Viewing grizzly mom and her three cubs, several other grizzly bears, five black bears, eight moose, tons of bison, elk, eagles, common merganser mom and her eight one day old ducklings, several ospreys (some in the nest), trumpeter swans, Canadian geese pair with ten goslings, and several deer was a bonus. At the airport, there were coyotes on the runway so that was a special treat. We did not see wolves in the wild but did spend a few hours at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. It was snowing heavily so the animals were very frisky. I would say that our trip was richly filled with the wildlife adventure of a lifetime. We also hiked a few trails, enjoyed a scenic float as well as whitewater rafting, and a chuck wagon dinner & show. Having such a beautiful home to stay in while we ventured out each day just made our trip outstanding. The owners and care taker of this beautifully decorated home are all so helpful & friendly. Thanks for all the advance info on restaurants and sites to see. We look forward to another visit in this lovely home.

PERFECT! Amber was wonderful and Joanna was lovely when we arrived. We went for a family (7 of us) ski vacation and JH didn't disappoint! We had SNOW from Sunday night until Thursday. The Kelsey home is so welcoming it feels like your own. We were in need of nothing and many amenities left from other renters was an added bonus!( NOTE: don't buy bear spray...we left a 50.00 can there! Lol) The kitchen was nicely stocked and more than enough seating in the dining room and bar stools at counter. The pictures on this site do not do this home justice,it is light and airy with THREE cozy fireplaces and a master suite we wished we could pack up and take home. Pool was played daily and was truly amazing to us is not one of the five TV's ever went on!( 8 days) We saw wildlife everyday ( from the full wrap around deck!) and it's an easy walk to the river( a must do)the views of the range is stunning and you get both beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Town is about 20 minutes away( drive carefully MOOSE are abundant in the area!) A visit to the Mangy Moose is a must,BUBBA's in Jackson, the Brewery, silver dollar saloon and the million dollar cowboy bar for some local fun! Tom Mengelsen gallery,JH visitor center, museum across from the elk refuge and of course Teton NP and Yellowstone. This was our first winter trip and fourth trip to the area! Our next must do is a fall trip to see the Aspens! If there was one thing to mention about the house would be if you have any health issues that you are unable to go up and down stairs ,this house isn't for you. The stairs from the bedrooms to the main part of the house are on the steep side and the outside stairs for the wrap around deck are as well. Thank you Kelsey family and Joanna for making our trip one for the books. Maybe next time we can stay longer! WARNING: It WILL BE hard to leave!!!

There is no better!

Check and up front communication was easy. Plenty of space in house, kitchen, & bedrooms. Every single amenities in the kitchen and more. In the 13 years I have done home rentals I have never seen so many UTD spices, sugar, oil, etc. Abundance of towels, TP, etc. The property was to die for. Pond for fishing, canoeing perfect for small children. Shade trees for warmer days. Mountain views. Strong internet for millennials. This was our 50th anniversary and this place was above and beyond all or our needs. We hope some day we can return. Life time of memories.

Great Stay True Charm of Jackson

As frequent visitors to JH for nearly 40 years, the Kelsey property is quite a find. The location is very convenient and the wildlife sightings around the property rival any tour that you can pay for. The spaciousness and layout of the home is fabulous. These are the reasons that we selected the home. The perks of a close walk to the river and access to bikes were wonderful added perks. Our family could see the Tetons from the balcony, enjoyed the pond on the property, and enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. As seen in the photos, the home is a little dated and doesn't offer bling of the vanilla typical "mountain" vibe that other rentals may, but the architecture, fireplaces, and super comfy family, dining, and kitchen space more than makeup for it. We would not let this prevent us from booking again or recommending this gem. You are also minutes from many restaurants, Teton Village, the bike path, and the back entrance to Teton Park. As experienced JH travelers, this is the location to stay! You won't be disappointed.
