Alabama Farm Guesthouse

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.

Our property feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, but it is 5 minutes from a Publix, 10 minutes from Downtown Fairhope with tons of excellent dining and shopping and beaches, and 30-40 minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico.

The Space:
Take a load off and enjoy the quiet and serene country life. Enjoy nature. There are many animals on the farm like chickens, goats horses, cats , and dogs. Enjoy the calm creek. Read a book and just enjoy the simple little things in life.

Animals are negotiable with a pet deposit, but must be leashed as there are other animals present in gated areas.

There is one main bedroom, bathroom, living area, kitchen, and a nice pull out couch in the living area. 4 people, or parents and children are generally more than comfortable in the space.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the guest house, creek, garden, and may visit animals on the outside of fences.

Host never responded to requests prior to arrival. Upon arrival the host claimed he did not expect us and that he does not rent with VRBO, though I showed him our contract and reservation. After a few hours and phone calls to verify, he said we could stay. Two weeks into the stay the A/C unit went out. Several attempts were made to contact host and we decided we had to leave and went to a motel. The host finally responded with a call and seemed irritated and belligerent to us. It was two days before the A/C was fixed. My wife and I decided we did not want to go back, we were actually concerned for our safety. Not sure if he was drunk or what but he was so combative on the phone that we felt we had to stay away from him.
