My husband and I travel a lot for business. We had a lovely stay at Dunes Haven it's cozy and charming. The house was very clean when we got there. We stayed in the winter time. Someone came promptly to tend to the walkways and stairs if needed. The property owners were very receptive and easy going whenever we needed something. The location is very pleasant. There is off street parking. Felt like a safe area to stay in. Dunes park is the back yard and the beach is just a few minutes away. We would stay here again.

We normally book hotels when we come up to visit, this time we chose a Vrbo , I am so glad we did. The location was so quiet and close to everything, The Unit was Nicely Decorated,.They also Kept Things Sticked well Too. The Host And Hostess Were Very Attentive and Was not an Issue when i Added a Extra Day Day To Our Stay.. needless to say we have Found our Home Away From Home When we Come back. Thank You Again

Great Location to Beach and Train Station

Had a great time while at Miller Beach. This location was perfect for the short walk to the beach and short drive to the train station, to access Chicago daily. I recommend doing the Shore Line water taxi while in Chicago. Water taxi available every 20mins. Great views of the city!

Our stay at Dunes Haven

This house was super cute and clean. Very close to the beach. The property owner is very responsive to messages. The check in could not have been easier. This was our first experience with verbo and it was definitely positive. We would definitely stay in this house again.

Lovely house adjacent to Dunes Ntl Park

The house was well appointed and had all we need We were attending events in Michigan City and it was convenient The Dunes National Park trailhead for Miller Woods is 3 blocks away we did a lot of hiking and beach walking We found good restaurants and things to do in Chesterton and Portage Gary itself is no good for that the Dunex park backs right up to this property There are some apartment buildings close by but no problem It was very quiet I’d stay here again

Our stay

Are stay has been nice and relaxing. The house is across (the side of the house) from a large apartment complex but it’s been very quiet as has the neighbors across the street. The area was a bit concerning but we had totally no issues! There's road work going on but easy to get around. I went into Gary several times to pick meals up and the people were super nice! We spent a day at the Dunes and another at the river walk. Both I recommend. Do bring binoculars as there’s cool birds you a see outback. The inside is very nice and clean. I highly recommend renting if you’re in the area
