My friends and I stayed at this lovely home for a few days and everything was perfect! It had a very convenient location to grocery stores and places to eat. The home has plenty of board game for a night in and TVs have access to apps for a nice movie night. Beds are super comfortable and we had enough room for 8 of us to comfortably be in the home. Enough bathrooms that had the necessary items that you don’t need to bring extra toiletries. Mornings were great as there is plenty of sunlight that comes in through kitchen living space windows. We had a great time and hope to be back in the Valley soon!

Overall great stay

Alex was fast with communication and willing to help in any way. Property was great and fit everything we needed. The only thing I would add is a vacuumm so people can vacuumm the carpets when staying for a longer period of time. Other than that this stay was great!

Costly and Dangerous Disappointment

We rented this property to house a team of engineers working on a project in Pharr for 90 days, but it was not as advertised and fell far short of expectations. Major issues emerged immediately: - Hot Water: The property had no hot water for the first week. While eventually resolved, it caused significant inconvenience. - Hygiene Concerns: The home had severe infestations of mold, cockroaches, and even snakes, making it unsafe and unsanitary. Cockroaches were frequently found on countertops and the refrigerator, and visible mold in the freezer was dismissed by the host despite photographic evidence. - Safety Issues: The property lacked critical security, with no lock on the garage entrance and unchecked smoke detectors. Additionally, one of our engineers was injured due to a faulty shower repair. The host failed to resolve key concerns, offering excuses rather than solutions. After 30 days, we vacated the property, as advised by VRBO, but received no refund for the unused rental period. It became clear this property was being flipped for resale rather than properly maintained for renters. The lack of attention to cleanliness, safety, and furnishings was evident throughout our stay. This experience has been fully documented with photos and correspondence. We strongly caution potential renters to avoid this property due to its poor condition and lack of host accountability.

Regarding the issues you raised: • Hot Water: I understand the inconvenience caused, and I worked promptly to resolve the issue as soon as it was brought to my attention. • Hygiene Concerns: I strive to maintain a clean and safe environment for all my guests. While I did address your concerns during your stay, I regret that you felt they were not resolved to your satisfaction. I’ve since taken further steps to ensure this is not an issue in the future. • Safety: Security and safety are top priorities. Any reported issues, such as the garage lock and smoke detectors, are immediately addressed. I will further review and update the property to ensure it exceeds expectations. I do wish you had shared some of these concerns earlier, as I would have been more than willing to work toward a resolution. I also understand the frustration with your decision to vacate early, and I relied on VRBO’s guidelines throughout the situation. While this experience did not go as either of us hoped, I remain committed to improving and providing a positive experience for all future guests. Thank you for your detailed feedback; it has been valuable in helping me address and improve upon the areas mentioned.
