300 years old - magical stone house in a small hamlet in the mountains
The stone house is located in the upper part of Le Lau - without transit traffic. Le Lau is a picturesque village with old stone houses and Mediterranean climate. From the parking at the brink of the village you reach the house afoot within 2 minutes and without ascent (approximately 100 m). To load and unload you can drive up to 15 m to the house! The access to the house is like a small terrace and can be used as an outdoor sitting (wooden bench available). There are many nice bathing possibilities in the nearby village, in the Gorges (canyons with great water pools with drinking water quality), 4 lakes within a radius of 40 km, and not quiet one hour by car to the Mediterranean Sea. The d'Heric-canyon is one of the prettiest of the Haut-Languedoc and can be conveniently reached afoot. The water basins row up like pearls on a necklace, uphill and connected through small cascades. To hike up to the Mont Caroux with its 1085 m and great view, you need to be in a reasonably good shape.
