The property is well located. The room was reasonably comfortable and the host provided some nice conveniences such as picnic plates and cutlery. On the downside, you WILL hear any night owl neighbors in the unit upstairs. Also, the flooring level change as you approach the bathroom is a bit of a tripping hazard.
Nice and simple accommodations for a short stay. Host was super friendly and helpful.

My stay here was very pleasant. It is quiet and homey, and very close to the town but enough to give you the experience outside of any kind of bustle from the town. Thank you so much for a wonderful few days!!!
We had a great weekend, even with some colder temperatures and rain. The room was perfect. We had beautiful views. My favorite parts is it is so close to everything, but you are away from the hustle and bustle. Juan and Christie were wonderful host. Gave us some great ideas where to
This property is a real gem, several different accommodations there. We stayed in the Bears den. A cozy new clean space with a beautiful view of the Potomac River on lavender farm. The host were wonderful and the location was easy walking distance into Harpers Ferry old town. Will definitely stay again.
The place was perfect for a little weekend getaway. The host is most gracious and provides extra items as a nice touch! The bed is nice and firm and the ac was nice and cold for the extremely hot weather! Walking distance to almost everything in Harpers Ferry!
My partner and I loved staying at La Soledad. We had a warm welcome from Christine who gave us loads of information about the area, local restaurants, music venues, hikes, things to see and do in Harper’s Ferry. We stayed in the lower level of the home where we had plenty of room and were very cool and comfortable during the sweltering heat of the Fourth of July. Everything about our stay was wonderful! We would love to return in the fall to enjoy the leaves turning, it must be spectacular! Especially with the river flowing as the backdrop. Thank you Christine for your generosity and hospitality.
I would have loved to review this space, but unfortunately, I cannot as this place was double booked. We didn't realize it was double booked until we had to call Christie as we never received check-in details. As my husband was checking in he realized another couple was in the space as he saw suitcases on the property and quickly left as this was a safety concern. We were trying to act swiftly and get out of there as soon as possible, even though we had booked this space and I spoke with Christie before our stay.
We then quickly called Christie and she said, "Oh no, this happened last week, let me see if I can get you into another space." The fact that this just happened was a bit unsettling, to say the least, but we agreed to wait and see if she had another space for us. She did and stated that it was an "upgrade" and that we would love it. Realizing that we had nowhere else to go and had plans for the evening we agreed to this new place w/o time to think. The new space was nice, but once again not the space we booked. Also, there was no shower, just a bath - probably something we should know ahead of time.
I realize we agreed to this new space and that is on us, but when we returned home I called Vrbo to see what they could do for us. Christie said she wouldn't be giving us any type of refund; because we agreed to the second space. Very unprofessional to not even acknowledge her part in this double booking and give us some type of refund. We do not recommend Christie!
