Sisters retreat

The Dufour House was the perfect house for us! As sisters, we wanted to stay together and the house had everything we needed and more. We spent time on the back porch talking and enjoyed walking to coffee shops and restaurants that were minutes away. We were intrigued by the history of the house and the community. So much nicer than staying at a traditional hotel.

My wife and I had a great stay in the Dufour House. The House was charming, comfortable and in the middle of everything. We parked the car and didn't move it for three days as we could walk to wineries, restaurants, museums, and historic sites. We found the hosts most helpful and available. We would recommend the Dufour House to anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet but active vacation in Ste Genevieve, Missouri

A hidden gem!

I knew we were staying in a historic house when I booked the listing but I didn’t realize the historic significance of the building at the time. The listing undersells itself and is an absolute steal. The home is extremely clean and has more amenities than you could ever dream of. The owners were so kind and helpful. 10/10, I won’t stay anywhere else the next time we are in town.

Location, location, location! We had a wonderful stay at this charming historic home in the heart of the historic neighborhood in Ste. Genevieve. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed—our host truly thought of everything. The bed was very comfortable, the home was spotless, and the back porch quickly became one of our favorite spots to relax.The neighborhood is friendly and welcoming, and the host was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Absolutely loved this property. You are steps away literally from History. Lewis & Clark stayed here and now we did too. For an old building it was cooler than my home and had every single amenity you need, even a gas stove (rare in this part of Missouri). The host even let us check in early on an uncommonly hot and miserable day. Great proximity to everything in downtown Ste. Gen. We will be back again for sure! The kids loved it too!
