Star Lake Retreat

Recently renovated four-bedroom house in Star Lake that sleeps 6. Snowmobile trail runs through the front yard. Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. Includes washer and dryer, microwave, stove, and full-size refrigerator. All bed linens and towels are provided, and the house is fully stocked with toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, etc.

In Town: A wonderful 9-hole golf course, Circle K Gas Station Pizza & Deli, Twin Lakes Restaurant/Bar, American Legion Bar/Pool/Shuffleboard, U-B’s Mercantile (liquor store, bakery, Pizza, sandwiches), Adirondack Rustics & The Holy Grail (Adirondack gifts/shopping)

Out of Town: The Wild Center (great for kids and adults), Tupper Lake (restaurants, brewery), Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Adirondack High Peaks (hikers will love this). If you are snowmobiling, we are connected to all of the major trails, and there is so much to do and see! There are local snowmobiling maps in town (I try and leave some at the house, but they end up on snowmobiles!)

We had a great stay! This property was perfect for a last-minute trip to Star Lake—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The linens and kitchen were well stocked, and everything was easy to use, including the TV. The location was super convenient for visiting family nearby. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location for visiting Ranger School

Great little house only 12 minutes from the ESF Ranger School where we were visiting our daughter. Had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy, kitchen fully stocked with all the essentials. Thank you!

Tidy cottage near Cranberry Lake

I rented this cottage so my family could attend my son's graduation from ESF Ranger School. It was a great choice--just a 15-minute drive from campus, the house had plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and was perfectly outfitted for our weekend stay. We especially appreciated the big windows which gave us lovely views of the forested setting, and the efficient central heat. We dressed for chilly weather, but it's cold in the Adirondacks! The house has been beautifully renovated and was clean and tidy.

Star lake stay

Our son was going to college down the street, do this was very nice place to stay the night! It was a very clean home, and we had everything we needed, but had a hard time with the tv at first. I contacted the owner because Vrbo never sent me the information on how to get in. The manager was nice and sent me the information quickly. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

This is a really great rental in the region, and can accommodate a large family. It is newly renovated, clean, ample parking if you have more than one car, and great light. Great, firm beds in all the rooms. Kitchen has everything you need, as does the bathroom in the way of linens, etc. The only improvement I would make (and it's minor) is to put a large mirror in each room, not just the master, as with one bath only, if you want to put on makeup or do your hair in the bedroom, there are no mirrors. The other improvement is to ensure there is a bedstand table on each side of the bed in each room. Great place to stay and the host is incredibly communicative and accommodating. Thank you for another great stay.
