We absolutely loved this cabin! We spent the weekend here to celebrate our anniversary and it was everything we were looking for - cozy inside, nice porch to sip coffee from in the mornings, beautiful fall foliage, and convenient location for nearby hikes and exploring. Would definitely stay again!

Balm of the Gilead was a peaceful hub for our busy ADK long weekend. The cabin was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to sit by the small campfire at night and listen to the wildlife. Thank you.

The cabin was set back and in a very peaceful area, beautiful inside and out with plenty if wildlife, seen deer and turkeys! Host was easy to communicate with and had everything you would need! Def would rent again 5 stars!

Very quiet. Some things were close but was good middle ground for visiting Whiteface Mountain and Lake George. WiFi availability was very helpful as were the grill and stocked kitchen.

Beautiful location, very private and quiet. Located close to lots of outdoor activities. Tons of info in binder for hikes and other activities. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need and then some! Would 100% stay here again.

This is our third stay here and we just live it! It's peaceful and quiet, a perfect place to get away from it all! There is everything you need right there for cooking meals and a grill outside too. The cabin is very clean and decorated nicely. We'll be staying here again in the future for sure.

The cabin was super clean and very well appointed for two people. The area is super quiet with basically zero road noise. The only super minor suggestion would be to update the Roku to a.newer one or an Amazon fire. We were unable to use any apps on it due to the older Roku/slow internet. We definitely look forward to coming again next fall. The host left a very thoughtful welcome gift on arrival for us.as well.

This was our fourth time staying at the Balm of Gilead. We absolutely love the seclusion yet not far from restaurants, hiking & entertainmentIt is our go to home base for our much needed ADK getaways. Hosts are responsive to your needs and there is a little welcome gift every time we stay. We will continue to come back to the Balm of Gilead!

The cabin was clean, well stocked, and appointed. The wildlife artwork about the cabin was beautiful, and it was easy to reach our host, Kristine. We were impressed with the silence, which was so needed by us. Balm of Gilead is the perfect quiet getaway for two. We know it was God's balm for our weary souls.

Beautiful cabin and a beautiful location in the Adirondack Mountains! Exactly as described and pictured. We stayed 4 days/5 nights and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation away from the busy tourist areas.
