About this property
2-br/2-ba house, 1 acre w/large yard, hot tub, firepit, just outside Creede, CO.
Your mountain getaway in Creede has a large living/dining area, 2 bedrooms, and two full baths, a hot tub, and a greenhouse featuring herbs and tomatoes. Nestled in a serene setting, our simple house offers a tremendous experience for guests. Set on one acre with a firepit out back, it's a perfect place to kick back and relax. Only five minutes from town, you're close enough for dining, entertainment, and quick trips, but away from any street noise and traffic. The cozy bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, feature 1 queen bed and 2 twin XL beds, ensuring a comfortable stay.
Our kitchen is fully furnished (including a dishwasher) and well-stocked with basics. Help yourself to staples, canned goods, spices and condiments in the cabinets or in the refrigerator. There is no icemaker, so you'll need to buy ice. (There is a large tray in the freezer for ice.) We have a new gas grill off the back porch.
Our house is set in a quiet neighborhood with mountains all around and dark night skies. The neighbors are friendly and helpful, but not nosy; we all pretty much keep to ourselves. It's a great place to kick back and relax by the firepit under starry skies.
With amenities like a washer and dryer, detergent and dryer sheets, baseboard heating, WiFi, Roku, a 70" smart TV, hair dryers, an iron and ironing board, your needs are well taken care of. Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Stephen Alkire
Texas hill country transplants, we moved here to escape the heat and to enjoy mountain life. We spend more time outdoors than in, and our house is a great place to do that.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood for open skies, mountain views, tranquility, proximity to so many outdoor recreation areas, and easy access to Creede, with its social life, dining, and local entertainment.
What makes this property unique
We are up on high ground, with lots of space in the yard and wide vistas all around. Sunrise, sunset, and "Golden Hour" are particularly beautiful, with light and shadows playing across the hills and mountainsides.
