Located in Downtown Hammond, this newly renovated apartment inside Hemmerling Guest House is a dream. Our Guest House is named after Bill Hemmerling, a famous Louisiana artist. His folk art is featured in each apartment and around the Guest House. With its welcoming atmosphere, guests will feel right at home. The bedroom offers a cozy retreat, perfect for a good night's sleep. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay but if you don’t feel like cooking, there are many fantastic restaurant options nearby. Hammond is home to Southeastern Louisiana University which is just a few blocks from Hemmerling Guest House. Within walking distance, you will find, 3 amazing coffee houses, a beautiful neighborhood park, casual restaurants, fine dinning, bars, unique shops and the Hammond Farmers & Artisans Market every Saturday from 8am - Noon. Our location is safe, clean and we offer private parking in the front and back of the house. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this amazing apartment has everything you need.

The apartment in the Hemmerling house was clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. Located just a short walk from the restaurants and bars of downtown Hammond tcampus of SLU

Superlative Experience

The rental is beautiful: tastefully decorated and features high-end finishes. The kitchen is equipped like home, the bed was terrific, and the shower better than mine at home. Best of all, the host, Jenny, is a delight. She is very responsive both before check-in and when I had questions during my stay. I stayed for three weeks and recommend this lovely rental for any length of stay.
