About the host
Hosted by Kim André Tronstad Fure
I always try to meet every guest for a tour and a chat. I love giving advice on what to do, and not to do, in the area. I've made so many new friends through hosting!
Why they chose this property
This area is where my mother's side of the family come from. The cabin itself is my great grandparents old farmhouse, built in the late 1800s. The cabin was dismantled, log for log back in the 1980's and moved a few hundred meeters of the farm. The area is perfect for hikes, both easy and advanced, and wherever you turn you can see mountains to conquer! If you come in the late autumn or winter, bring your skiis, so many oppertunities to have greate experiences, and for those of us that don't like to skii in the mountains, there is a prepped ski slope for cross country skiing 100 meters from the cabin.
What makes this property unique
Go in to the living room and feel the timber that my ancestors spent so much time over a 130 years ago bringing down from the woods and turning it in to a home. Sleep in a bed from the eara and walk the same steps as my great grandparents did. The stairs to the second floor are so worn down from generations walking up and down them - a reminder of all the stories and memories that has been created in this house.
