The host instructions were incorrect to locate the key to the RV. It was in a key box on the hand rail of the RV. When we did get into the RV we told the owner there was damage on the bathroom floor. He said he was aware. We were not aware at the time the floor was rotted through. The flooring around the tiolet was very soft and we did not feel safe. We found another soft spot on the floor under the window by the bed. We stayed the one night and notified the owner so he could make repairs. He said we were lucky he was in town. He never responded. I have pictures.

The area is safe. The property is around the corner from Fairway Middle school and in the morning we enjoyed a walk to Jack L McLean Jr Park close by. There were some shack looking homes, but many have been replaced by newer homes. We checked in at 9 PM in the dark and if I had been alone I would have been scared because it’s not like a well lit hotel parking lot, it’s a house in the country near the Florida state fairgrounds. We got a code for a keypad from the owner and a key from the lock box, went inside and turned on the air conditioner, which cooled down in about 20 minutes. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot & powerful. We were there for FSU parents weekend and local hotels were running 300-1000 a night. If you’re adventurous enough to stay in a trailer it was clean & comfortable & worked out just fine. The owner texted with us about a few questions we had upon arrival and were very nice. Not a bad commute only took us 13 minutes to FSU.

We did not stay at this property as we never got the check in code from the owner until almost 3 hours after the owner said we could check into the property. The RV is 5-6 feet from the corner of the owners house/back windows. The yard is very unappealing and we did not feel safe.

We booked this stay over 2 months ago. The host did not send me check-in instructions (door code, etc) until I threatened to call customer service if I hadn't heard from him by noon of check-in day. Once we arrived, we noticed an overgrown yard as we pulled in. There were no instructions on how to turrn on AC or heat. Daytime was warm but night time was much cooler. Immediately noticed that there were only 2 dirty, stained bath towels in the bathroom. One washcloth hanging in kitchen and no dish towel. Also noted, no paper towels in kitchen or hand soap in the bathroom. As the night got cooler, we found there was no extra blanket and the bed only had a thin quilt in addition to the sheets. The entry door was a bear to close. We literally had to slam it to get it to latch properly. The floor next to the bed on side away from door had water damage and the floor was soft & spongy. It would be a safety issue as well as a health issue due to mold & mildew. The tv would not turn on. We assumed it was due to dead batteries but were told by host that he didn't have any to replace them. He did not address any of the concerns I told him of at that time. He also took several hours to respond to messages. On the positive, the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was good and water got hot quickly but we were unable to take showers due to the questions about the cleanliness of the towels. Would not stay here again unless the host does some serious work on the entire experience.
