Cozy, bright and light! Our condo invites you in by way of its living/tv room and small sitting area. Off the living room to the front of the condo you will find the great size bedroom with a large closet, bay window and reading chair. Off the rear side of the living room is the renovated kitchen and full bath and great size back deck with plenty of room to dine. This condo allows you and your guests plenty of room to relax inside or on the deck. This one level condo is on the second floor of our guesthouse, right on Thames St. There are ACs in Bedroom and living room.
The Neighborhood: Your are really in downtown Newport. Everything is in walkable distance.

Planned a last minute, 2 night stay. This apartment is in the heart of the downtown area, pet-friendly and affordable. The parking and deck were selling points.Check-in was very easy, Mark provided codes for a keyless entry. There is a small parking spot at the back of the building for dropping off your items; the included parking spot is just down the block. This unit is on the second floor - note that the stairs are steep and narrow and might be difficult for some. The unit is charming with original hardwood plank floors.The bedroom is spacious with large windows overlooking Thames Street. Some people noted noise from the pub next door. We were there during the second half of a peak week in the summer. The pub featured live music which was typically done around 9pm. With the AC unit, we could not hear anything outside. We actually would have enjoyed opening the windows if we could’ve.We didn’t cook during our stay, using only the fridge to store water and leftovers.Due to the age of the building, the bathroom is small with floor space for one person only. The room features a pocket door typical of the time period and the walk-in shower is beautifully updated. The owner provided travel size toiletries with extras, if needed.We ate breakfast on the deck, later sitting out to do some work. There is no shade or privacy but lots of sun and views.We recommend this location for active people who enjoy walking, biking and an active social scene.
