Located in Trent Lakes, this cottage is on the waterfront. Kawartha Settlers' Village and Lakefield Marina are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kawartha Country Wines and Sheffield Greens Golf Club. Kayaking, snorkelling and power boating offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby.
We enjoyed our stay despite some cold and rainy weather, it was nice to relax on the screened in porch with my dogs. Property was clean and supplied with propane and firewood. It was too bad the dock was broken from a tree falling earlier in the week since I was most looking forward to it, it would have been nice to receive advanced notice but I understand nature happens. We were still able to launch our canoe and enjoy the lake. I recommend providing fuses and instructions on resetting the breaker to guests in the future since it impacts the electric heater and hot water tank. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The fuses are fuse-a-tron you just push the white button in the centre. You should have contacted me I could have explained.
We were looking for a true cottage experience and we found it! If you are looking for frills this cottage is not for you but if you are looking to relax and enjoy being right on the lake then this is it. We wanted to get away from it all, relax and spend quality time together and with our two dogs and that is exactly what we did. When we arrived the dogs ran straight to the lake and swam. We fished, we relaxed and when it poured rain we sat in the screened in porch and watched the rain and the lake. We also had a daytime nap in which we were able to watch the rain and the lake directly from our bed! On the sunny days we fished and kayaked. A wonderful cottage experience!!
