My group and I had a great stay in this beautiful home! Host was responsive and very attentive, check in was easy and fast, and there was plenty of parking. All the amenities worked and the place was clean, our favorite part was the layout of the house made it feel like a home. Truly a gem and would love to stay again next time we’re in town!

Excellent stay! We would absolutely recommend this home. The house was comfortable, well stocked, and in a great location with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and everything we wanted to do in North County.Eric was one of the best hosts we've had. His communication was excellent from booking through checkout, and he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Anytime we had a question or concern, he responded quickly and went above and beyond to help. It's clear he takes pride in his property and truly values guest feedback.The home is on a split property, so depending on when you stay, you may see some activity outside if improvements are being made. We happened to visit while updates were underway, but Eric adjusted things to give us more privacy after we shared our experience, which we really appreciated.Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay with a host who truly cares about his guests. We can tell he's continuing to make thoughtful improvements, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful and peaceful

Our stay was due to a soccer tournament for our teenage boys! The place was very welcoming and had everything we needed inside. Eric the host was very communicative and quick to respond. We would definitely stay again if we ever come back to vista.

I was very disappointed with this stay. My niece with us manages 40 short term rentals myself so I do understand the many factors involved in operating a rental. However, some things should be addressed no matter the circumstances. We rented this unit to have a home base while visiting San Diego to see my son graduate the Marine Corps. I have a special needs daughter and we came with a large party, one of our party is severely allergic to dogs, another has ptsd. When we arrived, we discovered there was a connected door to the live in tenant. Our daughter and friend got no sleep due to this. This was a very stressful situation for us while already under many emotions, we would have never rented this unit if this was disclosed. Also having the concern for our party members allergies was unexpected. The cleaned standards were subpar, hairs in tubs and sinks. Crumbs in every kitchen drawer, food stuck on silverware, unknown sticky substances and hairs stuck to the undersides of garbage can lids, finger prints all over the table and screen door. The photos depicted a picturesque back patio - the reality was tacky fake plants and a non operational bbq with a grease trap has not been cleaned in months, posing a severe fire hazard. Host communication was lacking. We had an issue operating the shower that could’ve easily been solved by explain in the welcome message that the shower is tricky. All in all, this was majorly disappointing for the price.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I want to sincerely own that our Vrbo listing should have been clearer about the attached layout and connected-door situation. That was an oversight on our part, and when you brought it to our attention, we immediately updated the listing so future guests have that information before booking. We also responded during the stay and asked you to let us know if there was anything else we could do to help. I’m sorry to hear after the fact that members of your group lost sleep or felt uncomfortable, because we would have wanted the opportunity to address that in the moment. We take the cleaning, BBQ, patio, and shower feedback seriously as well. Since your stay, we have reviewed each item you mentioned and made updates to prevent these issues from happening again. I appreciate the detailed feedback. While this was clearly not the experience we want guests to have, we are using it to improve the property and make expectations clearer for future stays. Eric
