A few things to know before you book:
To keep our homes safe and welcoming for everyone, all guests complete a quick verification before arrival — we’ll reach out by email or text with the simple steps once you’ve booked, so please complete it before you travel.
Guests are also asked to either purchase a damage waiver or leave a refundable security deposit, and to sign a short rental agreement. A valid credit or debit card is required; if you’re paying us directly by card, we’ll ask for a photo of the front and back and a signed credit card authorization form, and the name on the reservation, card, and ID should match. Please also have a valid, current government-issued ID ready — if it’s expired we won’t be able to approve the stay, and no refund applies in that case. Additional charges may apply.
Have any questions? Just reach out — we’re always happy to help!
BOOKING REQUIREMENTS: All guests must complete a signed rental agreement, ID verification, security deposit, and credit card authorization prior to check-in. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

The location was pretty bad, the outside was dirty with trash everywhere. Inside, the floor was terrible, sheets were dirty as well and they didn't have A/C at all and it was so hot up there.
Thank you! This was a great place that suited our needs while we rehearsed in the city for our national tour. The commute was simple, and the accommodations were good. Hosts were great communicators.
Let’s start with the good: the hosts are communicative when you need help. They are also accommodating if you have sudden changes to your stay. The apartment itself is alright, although you will need to bring a fan. The apartment is very hot. The bathroom is the best part of the apartment. Here’s the bad: uh, just do not stay here. If you are unaware, Newark, NJ is bad news. The apartment is in a really shady area and you will not feel safe here. When we arrived at around 10:30pm, the first floor neighbors were blasting music (you could hear it down the block). It was clear they were having a party. It’s ironic because the VRBO agreement mentions quiet hours for the stay AND to not play loud music, but the first floor neighbors didn’t seem to care about that. The stairway up to the apartment smelled heavily of weed, too. If that’s not your thing, beware. For some reason, the thermostat is zip tied shut with a plastic covering over it so you cannot change the temperature of the apartment despite there being central air. Very weird. We had to leave the VRBO early because me and my friend did not feel safe staying there. Apparently, the first floor neighbors had a loud fight in the middle of the night and when we were leaving, they PAT SOMEONE DOWN as if they have had issues with people bringing weapons into their apartment!!!! It was insane!TL;DR: You will not feel safe here. Newark, NJ is not a safe place to be. Pick a different VRBO!
