Stunning Water, Sunset and Sound View Getaway Suite with hot tub BBQ, firepit

Water & Sound View Getaway Suite – A Romantic PNW Escape

Welcome to your private Water & Sound View Getaway Suite, a peaceful retreat tucked inside a historic 1900s beach cottage overlooking the Puget Sound. Local legend says this home once served as a bootleggers cabin during the early days of the Pacific Northwest. Today it has been lovingly restored into a quiet and romantic getaway filled with charm, comfort, and unforgettable views.

This suite is designed for romantic escapes, peaceful solo stays, short visits to the Seattle area, and business travelers who want something far more relaxing than a standard hotel room.

With a private outdoor entrance, breathtaking water views, and your own outdoor relaxation spaces, this cozy suite allows you to fully experience the beauty and tranquility of the Pacific Northwest.

Stunning Water, Mountain, and Sunset Views

Step through the large French doors and enjoy unobstructed views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and glowing Pacific Northwest sunsets.

Outside you will find your own private driftwood cabana retreat, carefully designed to help you relax and enjoy the scenery.

Your private outdoor space includes:

• Comfortable outdoor lounge seating
• A propane gas fire pit for your private use
• A Salu Spa hot tub for your private use
• An infinity view garden overlooking the water
• Beautiful driftwood accents and peaceful garden surroundings

This entire outdoor area is reserved exclusively for guests staying in the suite, creating a peaceful and romantic setting to enjoy morning coffee, sunset views, or a quiet evening under the stars.

The gas fire pit provides instant warmth and ambiance, perfect for cozy evenings outdoors without the work of wood fires.

The private hot tub offers a relaxing soak while looking out over the water and mountains, one of the most memorable ways to experience the magic of the Pacific Northwest.

Your Private Suite

Inside the suite you will find a thoughtfully designed space combining natural materials, comfort, and simplicity.

The suite includes:

King Bedroom with Water Views

Wake up to the soft morning light reflecting off the Puget Sound. The king bed offers comfort and quiet, making it ideal for restful sleep after a day of travel or exploring the area.

Comfortable Living Area

The living area features a comfortable double sofa, making it easy to relax, read, watch a movie, or work remotely if needed.

Modern Granite and Glass Bathroom

The bathroom features granite and glass finishes with a clean, modern design that feels fresh and hotel like while still fitting the charm of the historic cottage.

Live Edge Coffee Bar and Closet Kitchenette

A beautiful live edge wood coffee bar adds natural Pacific Northwest character to the suite.

The suite also includes a small kitchenette located inside a cabinet style closet. This space is designed for convenience rather than full cooking.

Behind the Thai wood closet doors you will find a compact beverage and snack station that opens to reveal:

• Refrigerator
• Microwave with grill function
• Keurig coffee maker
• Espresso machine with fresh ground coffee
• Tea selection
• Toaster
• Dishware and utensils

Please note that this is not a full kitchen. The kitchenette is located inside a closet style cabinet and is intended for light use such as coffee, tea, breakfast items, reheating food, or simple snacks.

There is no stove, oven, or full cooking area.

Many guests enjoy using this space for a relaxed breakfast, preparing coffee before watching the sunrise over the water, or reheating takeout from the wonderful local restaurants nearby.

Coffee and Comforts Included

Guests can enjoy a variety of complimentary beverages including:

• Starbucks Keurig coffee pods
• Fresh ground espresso coffee
• A selection of teas

High speed internet is available throughout the suite.

Guests also have complimentary access to:

• Prime Video

Perfect for relaxing movie nights after enjoying the hot tub or exploring the area.

Explore the Pacific Northwest

The suite is located just 17 minutes from SeaTac Airport, making it an easy and convenient stay for travelers flying in or out of the Seattle area.

The home sits between Seattle and Tacoma, allowing you to explore both cities while enjoying a quiet waterfront neighborhood away from the busy city centers.

Only five minutes away you will find the local marina and town center offering:

• Scenic waterfront walking trails
• Beaches and shoreline views
• Local restaurants and cafes
• State parks and nature areas
• Boutique shops and small local businesses

This area offers classic Pacific Northwest scenery everywhere you look, from saltwater views and evergreen forests to dramatic mountain sunsets.

Many guests enjoy simply walking along the water, watching boats pass by, and breathing in the fresh sea air.

Easy Arrival and Peaceful Privacy

Guests have off street parking for one vehicle directly on the property. Additional parking may be arranged with advance notice if needed.

The suite has three separate private entrances, allowing easy and flexible access during your stay.

The bedroom is designed to be quiet and peaceful, ideal for light sleepers who want a restful night.

The suite is attached to the main home but is fully locked off and completely private.

Guests may occasionally hear normal household sounds from the living room area of the main home, but the suite itself remains a quiet and relaxing retreat.

Your hosts, Richard and Ruth, respect guest privacy and allow guests to enjoy the space independently while remaining available if assistance is ever needed.

About the host

Hosted by Richard and Ruth Cogzell

Host profile image
We enjoy hosting guests from all over the world. We have designed all our houses with many comforts of a home and vacation combined.

We have both worked in hospitality for many years and we try to provide excellent customer service in all circumstances. We have lived and travelled all over the world and love the sights and sounds of the sea, rivers, mountains, wildlife and nature around us in the Pacific Northwest. We have travelled extensively in Washington and can share the hidden gems or where to visit and places to eat at that will make your visit that much more unique.

During the winter we love how accessible both our homes are to the snow resorts and mountains for sledding, snowboarding, skiing and hiking.

In spring and summer our homes are central to a myriad of state parks and idyllic waterfront towns. Come explore the beauty of the many lakes or the beaches of the Puget sound, waterfalls and lazy days on the river to paddle, tube and raft.

We enjoy making your stay in our homes a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Come stay awhile with us at either Mountain View House, The Little Barn at Mountain View or at Water View House.

Water View home was built in the early 1900’s and we are delighted that you can experience the history and charm of our driftwood and boutique Water View Puget Sound Getaway.

Mountain View House is a farmhouse conversion with sweeping views over the valley and ‘take your breath away’ views of the valley, Mt Ranier and the cascade mountains.

The Little Barn is our original farm barn at Mountain View. It is red and white and "farmhouse-ish". It has all the looks and rustic charm of the farm minus the animals.

We look forward to meeting and hosting you.
