We loved our stay at the Abeling. Listing was accurate. It was very quiet and restful. It is 20-25 minutes from stores so come with your food, but we are used to bringing our food to be able to cook in and it was great. The kitchen well stocked with equipment and loved there were lots of condiments. It was great to have two refrigerators. It was fall and the foliage was gorgeous. We spent some time on the beach but being mid October it was cool but sitting outside the house was still comfortable. There were numerous sitting areas. A great place to gather for in home entertainment . Communication was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This location has all the feel and beauty of the Adirondacks! Yet, it is a shorter drive from most directions and the lake house is wonderful. It is a yearly treat for us.

Our family loved this place. It was SO clean and literally had everything you could possibly need and more. If you're traveling with little ones ****Plenty of baby gates for the deck and indoor stairs. The highchair was perfect, but the crib mattress looked gross, we didn't use it. I will say after a few days, the stairs down to the beach got to be alot with a baby and carrying things up and down. They are in great shape though and there are railings. *** I would bring water shoes, there was a lot of broken glass on the beach. We picked easily over 100 pieces. ***The dock is perfect and the kayak set up was great. Overall a wonderful place, in our opinion a bit over priced, but pretty common for Sacandaga lake these days.

Wonderful Hideaway

We had a wonderful vacation, even though it rained for most of our stay. The house is probably the most well-stocked we have come across. As other reviews of noted, the house was clean, welcoming and warm with plenty of light, great location and wonderful views from nearly every room. We will look to book again.

Best spot on the lake

The house is just perfect! The view of the lake is beautiful and it has everything you need for a great vacation. In August there is plenty of beach to play on and relax. The landscaping makes you feel like you are in a secret garden. This spot has it all.
