About the host
Hosted by Cheryl Jenkins

We're rice farmers! Rodney is a 3rd generation rice farmer and has been farming for nearly 50 years. Cheryl became his #1 harvester driver after her retirement as an HR manager.
Why they chose this property
When you farm, you generally farm the ground your family grew up on. The best part of the farm is our location is away from the busyness of town, but close enough to get to town easily. We really like that our property is close to a major highway and that the actual residence is set far back from the road, which gives us more peace and quiet.
What makes this property unique
We think our property is unique because it allows guests to see different aspects of farm life. We love to share what we do and the different aspects of growing rice. We also share our seasonal produce with guests. Whether is from our peach, cherry, plum, persimmon, nectarine, or citrus trees, or our watermelon and pumpkins in the fall, if your here when it's ready, you can pick what you want. We also share our homegrown popcorn with our guests. We also think it's wide open grassy areas are great for families. The main area of the house is large and open for easy flow and family time together.
