Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. Nestled in a peaceful setting, guests can unwind in the serene atmosphere, unique with antiques, decor and misc. items like a turn table with ample albums to listen to. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Enjoy modern amenities like WiFi, heating, and AC during your stay. Fall in love with Blanco and enjoy the magic it has to offer.

This house is so adorable and clean! I also loved the added touch of all the Christmas decorations. The host was easy to get a hold of and even left some snacks upon arrival. We had a great stay and hope to stay again in the future.

Ethyl's Place is a cozy, vintage, small-town dream! If you choose to stay here make sure you read Deb's renovation story paired with the picture album of her journey; it's gives you invaluable insight and appreciation for the home! Deb left us (and our dogs) goodies and had everything else well stocked :)

Very easy to get to. Loved all the antique furniture & nostalgic decorations for the Christmas holiday. Kitchen was very roomy , but would’ve been nice a slightly larger convection/toaster oven to cook our breakfast casserole in.

I loved this property. It was cozy and cute and had everything I needed...and more. The property owner was wonderful. I love that she had a photo album of the amazing work they did to remodel this home. I will stay there again.

I would give it more stars if I could! The house is beautifully restored and decorated. The host was so incredibly nice and responsive. She left a bag of goodies, oranges, bananas and snacks! The bathtub is amazing! And there are bath salts and bubble bath that smell wonderful. The pull out couch bed was super comfy. We felt very pampered It's a great location, close to many restaurants and the grocery store is just a few minutes away. Would definitely stay here again! 10 stars!

This place is great. I'm glad that it was saved from demolition. Came for birthday trip. Enjoyed everything about the property. The story about the property is a great short read. Sat out under the tree on the back patio. Sat on the front porch in the cool mornings. Will come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Blanco staying in this charming home. The house is furnished with beautiful antiques, decor, and appliances that are period appropriate for this vintage cottage. The host provided snacks, breakfast items, and even treats for our dog for our visit. It was an unexpected treat! The home is close to everything in town and a short 15-minute drive to Johnson City and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a great time at Ethyl’s Place. The decor was amazing and the home was comfortable and cozy. Blanco was the perfect base location to explore the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

We will surely want to stay there again. Lady has done a great job of refurbishing an old share cropper home. Very well furnished and very comfortable.
