Have it ALL: Pool! Hot Tub! Boat Dock! Canal Fishing! 3 min walk to the beach

Located only one block away from the white sands of Mexico Beach, our Cottage offers the privacy of a detached single-family home with the community benefits of a hot tub and the largest swimming pool in Mexico Beach. A Day Dock is included so that your boat is available just out the door for that run over to Cape San Blas or a fun day of boating/fishing.

Bring the entire family as the Cottage will comfortably sleep eight people in four separate bedrooms with two and a half baths provide additional comfort.

On the first level you will find a full kitchen that is well stocked with cookware and dining settings. A dining area and living room adjoin the kitchen. The living room is furnished with comfortable recliners and a large 75 inch TV for potential rainy days. From the living area you can exit to the rear deck which overlooks the canal where you'll find your boat at the day dock ready to go fishing. There is also a half bath and garage located on this level. The garage provides extra storage for beach chairs and toys a floaties. A cart is available to tote your essentials to the beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided for your convenience. Kayak, paddle board and golf cart rentals are withing walking distance to add to your fun.

The second level has the master bedroom with private bath and queen bed. Two additional bedrooms, one queen the other two twins, and another full bath are also on this level. The laundry with washer and dryer provided is on this level. Bedrooms 1 & 2 have private covered balconies to watch the sun rise and set, morning in one and evening in the other.

The third level loft is set up as a dedicated bedroom. There is a queen bed on this level.

The Cottage has an electronic door lock that eliminates keys. This allows you to go to the beach and not have to worry about losing keys in the sand. You also avoid locksmith charges and key replacement costs.

We had a great time staying here! Check in was very easy. The kitchen and house was very well stocked and had everything we needed. The house was the perfect size for our family. Short walk to the beach right across the street. Great location to walk right to mango marleys and the local coffee and ice cream shops.

Mexico beach

We enjoyed our stay with just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the food places close by and the little shops. The house fit us perfectly and had everything we needed to cook home meals.

Amazing place to vacation!

We had an amazing time at this property! Very close walk to the beach, the pool and hot tub were fantastic! Beautiful beach with nice white sand and gorgeous sunsets! The house was very clean and came with everything we could have needed! We will definitely be coming back again!

This house is great! It is the most stocked vacation home we have ever been in. We used the beach chairs daily! Also super helpful information sheet about nearby spots. Town closes down VERY early. Make sure to eat early if you are going out. We also had groceries delivered from Walmart. Its about a 20 min drive to any large stores.

Perfect location and house!

They owners were great and gave us a list of food and stores nearby before we arrived. The house is a short walk to the beach and we saw manatees in the canal behind the house. They had 6 beach towels and tons of chairs, umbrellas and beach toys! The house was perfect! Will definitely go back!

Excellent Home away from Home

This was our first trip to Mexico Beach but most certainly wont be our last. The quietness and emptiness of the beach was wonderful. Our stay was great. Home could have been a little cleaner but other than that the Owners are exceptional. They responded very quickly to our messages and handled things right away! We will def stay here again!

Short walk to the beach

This was our first time visiting Mexico Beach, we will 100% return! Great house and location within walking distance to beach, restaurants and shops. All the essentials were onsite- beach cart, towels, chairs, toys, etc! There was plenty of room for our family of six to spread out. Would absolutely consider re-booking in the future.

Wonderful house/host

We just headed home from our stay at this location. The hosts were wonderful and responsive! The house itself was perfect for our group which included teenagers! We received a great info sheet via email which included closing times of local eateries and stores. This was very helpful as the town is not like an all night everything open kind of beach town. I would absolutely recommend this host/location!

The house and location are perfect! The beach is a short 5 minute walk across 98 which isn’t too busy. We did drive to the beach access to drop off some heavier items but there is no beach parking on 32nd street. You can drive down to 37th for free beach parking if you want. The house was exactly as advertised. There were a few minor repairs that need to happen, most notably a few door handles kept falling off, but it was nothing that affected our stay. We had 7 people total and there were plenty of comfy beds. I will say the top floor loft can get a little warm but that is to be expected in Florida in June. Our family absolutely loved this house and our stay and we’re so thankful for the amazing time together. I would highly recommend this house!

Great Location

This was our second year staying at Mexico Beach. While we didn’t stay at this exact house last time we stayed in this community. Very easy access to both pool and beach. They have redone most of the boardwalk so that was nice to see this year. There are still some spots to watch out for. The house was equipped with everything we needed! There were some things that needed addressed but the communication with the owners was amazing and they were very quick to reply. I would definitely recommend this house and location to anyone!

Perfect place

This is our second year coming and staying here! We love the house and Mexico Beach. The house has everything you need (in the kitchen, space, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc), plenty of room and beautiful. Love the location away from the crowded beaches. Very low key. 1-2 min walk across street to the beautiful quiet beach . Great balconies and deck. 15 minutes drive to Port St Joes with restaurants and grocery. Food trucks walking distance and rental bikes, etc across the street. Owners are very responsive and helpful! Will definitely return again. We love it here.

Perfect spot for a quiet vacation

We loved staying at Waterside Village! The house was big enough for 8 of us to stay comfortably, and had some many conveniences that were above and beyond any other rental we've stayed at. We love to cook a lot of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pans and tools, and the grill was big enough for us to cook enough for our group. The location was a short walk to the beach, which is where we spent most of our time. The area itself is pretty quiet, which makes the beach less crowded. While there wasn't a lot nearby for shopping/dining, we took advantage of the local fish store (Shell Shack) or taco truck (La Brasitas) down the road, and got ice cream a short walk from the front door. We drove to Port St. Joe (10 mins) for groceries and a gym, but we liked that when we were at the house the area wasn't overloaded with other tourists, like neighboring Panama City Beach. Also, Mike and Tracy were very helpful when we needed to reach them. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location for outdoor lovers.

This was such a pleasant experience. The home was as described. The kitchen is so well stocked. The location is wonderfully close to the beach. Unfortunately Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with us so we stayed indoors for the majority of our stay. Fortunately there were games to play, movies to be watched, books and magazines to be read and naps to enjoy. I highly recommend this location during good weather for those who like to walk the beach, walk down the street to a few small local shops and restaurants. If you want to go to a movie or the mall you will have to travel about 30 minutes. It’s not horrible but it is necessary. We enjoyed a nice meal in Port Saint Joe one afternoon and some shopping in Panama City another day. Book with confidence as this home has lots to offer and a great owner to work with. Perfect location in Mexico Beach!

Would highly recommend this property. Really like the direct communication with the property owners and they are very responsive. This is a perfect house for a family as everyone can have their own space when desired. The house presents exactly as the pictures indicate. Kitchen is small but very well stocked— we cooked most meals and lacked for nothing. Comfy living space with nice large TV and access to multiple streaming services. Also a few games available. Nice garage with a large selection of beach chairs, toys, and a terrific buggy to carry everything over to the beach. Bedrooms were comfortable and like the 4th BR option with the 3rd floor loft. The complex itself is well maintained and the house overlooks a canal with boats-very pretty. You are about 1 block from the beach and it’s very easy access. Grandkids aged 6 and 4 had no trouble with the walk. The beach is just the best anywhere in my opinion and it was very quiet and lovely in Oct. If you are looking for a lot of restaurants, activity, tourist types of things, Mexico beach is probably not for you. If you like peace, pristine beaches, and great accommodations then this place is for you.

Great pool, great mattresses. TV difficult to figure out, common areas not clean, carpets filthy, boardwalk hazardous and unable to use, workers working outside our window. Garbage disposal not working properly. Owners not responsive to our needs.

Vicci loves the beach and Mike loves the mountains. Thus, we have the best of both worlds with the mountain house in NC and the beach home in FL. Our Cottage was purchased in 2012 and we enjoy spending the winters in Florida. We also love to travel and have traveled to many tropical locations - Fiji, Maldives, Rarotonga, Hawaii, Belize, BVI's, Greece, Guam, St. Croix, St Martin, St. Barth's, Guadeloupe and Bora Bora. In summary, we love the sunshine, beaches, sailing and scuba diving and are happy to share the beautiful area of Mexico Beach and the Forgotten Coast with you in our Waterside Cottage.

Why they chose this property

Mexico Beach and the Forgotten Coast area are known mostly for being family oriented and having beautiful, uncrowded, white sand beaches. The beach is a short one block away. The other popular thing to do in Mexico Beach is sport fishing. The Cottage is located right on the canal and include day docks for overnight parking of your fishing boat. You can walk right out the back door, hop in your boat and cruise out the inlet into the ocean. The Waterside Village community includes a large swimming pool and a hot tub for cooling off and relaxing at the end of your day.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location!! In less than five minutes walking from the front door you can feel sand between your toes, cross the street to Mango Marley's for a cold beach drink, hop in your boat, stop for bait at the Marina and cruise right out into to the ocean, or refresh yourself with a cool dip in the pool. Mexico Beach is centrally located. You can head east for an outings and restaurants in Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, St George, St Vincent or Apalachicola or west into St. Andrews or Panama City. With access to all of these locations, you'll have plenty to do and see or you can do nothing at all and lounge on the beach.
